All this clamoring for new civs makes me think that maybe LucasArts didnt put in enough to begin with....

I mean if people are already talking about the XP what does that say

:c3po: OH MY!

:biggs: SHUT UP YOU WHINY *****!

i would have agreed with you a few months ago but later my eyes were opened

what they have already made is also the best of their works in terms of civs

the 5 civs units' all appear in the movies but the 6th one the wookies was almost entirely made up

and thats not easy work

lets just be happy with whats there right now

I'm very happy with the civs that are in the game. When a game's good, people want an expansion pack. It's not an indicator that the first game was lacking. How many were you wanting? 10? 15? Hell, maybe they could of just put it off indefinately and included every alien species ever seen in Star Wars and mentioned in the books. ;)

BTW, I love the smilie talk, Crespin. :D

making up units for such civs requires lots of thinking especially if u want to make it original

WHAT DO YOU THINK THEY DID WITH THIS GAME, USE EPISODE 7 "The Wookies"? There is more about the vongs than the wookies technologies in the EU.

but the game is made by lucas arts in association with george lucas and they expect movie fans to buy the game and if they see that theres this unknown civ never heard of and no wookies i dont know how it would be

im pretty happy with the current civs

and im not sure if the vong was lucasarts' idea or the idea of the person who wrote the book

Its more about how different the civs are than how many they are.......

In Aok, all the civs were pretty much the same, but in GB if your the naboo your going to definatly be attacking from the air and if your the Empire, your army is going to mainly consist of AT-AT's. If they can add in more civs, and still have them play out diffrently then I am all for it. But if there pretty much carbon copies of another civ, then save the CD space for some more music. :)

As a AoE player which boasts about 12 civs ( I could be wrong, dont get pedantic on me), i have to say im a little dissapointed in only 6 civs. I understand they are more varied, but surely pc tecnology is good enough to cope with more than 6 civs. Another 4 in a XP would keep me happy. :)
