Fonzzie Posted April 7, 2002 Posted April 7, 2002 I have lvl3 push/pull and this other guy somehow hacked his pk2 file, when i'm just standing there with full force reserves, he ALWAYS pushes me down no matter what i do, i think he hacked his MP level to level 4?? and he always manage to pull my weapon out of my hands , is that even possible in multiplayer?
falo Posted April 7, 2002 Posted April 7, 2002 As I understand it if you're doing something (e.g. using the force) then he can use push/pull and you won't defend. I'm not sure if this applies to your situation though.
Lithic Posted April 7, 2002 Posted April 7, 2002 and he always manage to pull my weapon out of my hands , is that even possible in multiplayer? Yepp, most certainly is.
Soul-Burn Posted April 7, 2002 Posted April 7, 2002 Yes... you can pull if u'r close enough. And yes, if u'r doing anything but standing still, he can push/pull u... jumping makes u the easiest, running is less and so on.
Valdarious Posted April 7, 2002 Posted April 7, 2002 Your push and pull might be maxed but what is your saber forces set at. I believe saber defense might be one factor in sustaining a push/pull but not sure.
ArtifeX Posted April 8, 2002 Posted April 8, 2002 Both push and pull have the ability to knock you down 100% if you're within a few feet of the attacker. The only defense is to be standing completely still and facing them which seems to reduce that range even more, but if they're right on top of you (3-6 feet or so) then you're gonna get knocked down no matter what you do. Just avoid close range if you're wary of that
kerosene31 Posted April 8, 2002 Posted April 8, 2002 That is unless someone has used force drain to take away all your power, which seems like the case most of the time
Monnnster Posted April 9, 2002 Posted April 9, 2002 If you are close enough to someone so that you are both crashing your blades together (not a saber lock) then you can get pushed or pulled even standing still, as you are considered to be defending. For instance, a good way to team up on someone on a map like NS-Streets would be to have one person blasting someone so they stand still and block, then another push him off. It doesn't matter that he's standing still, if he's blocking then he can be pushed.
bliv Posted April 10, 2002 Posted April 10, 2002 You should also realise that Drain leaves people open to attack. If they are trying to drain and you switch on Absorb you may be able to get a decent saber slash or 2 in. I adivse you use the light saber stance. If you are fast you can get the kill.
