Guest Spidersymbiote Posted November 28, 2001 Posted November 28, 2001 What good is the Imperial Probot? Just scouting & detection? Does anyone use them? What is the difference between a probot and a scout? Can someone post the stats and cost of a probot and scout side by side?
Com Raven Posted November 28, 2001 Posted November 28, 2001 Don't know actual stats now, but the probot has got a better los, whereas the scout takes a lotta more damage and gives more of it back ... The scout can be used for combat, the Probot can't ...
Grimjack Posted November 28, 2001 Posted November 28, 2001 A Probot starts with 1 better range (LOS) and is cheaper (I think) then a scout. It's also a troop and gets the upgrades from the troop center. The only use I can see is it lets you have a scout/detector unit without the need for a Mech Factory. I also think Lucasarts just wanted to put them in the game Because they're cool:)
Zygomaticus Posted November 29, 2001 Posted November 29, 2001 maybe they made it just for the sake of one more unit or cuz it appeared in the movies:D
Jedi_Knight Posted November 29, 2001 Posted November 29, 2001 imagine 200 probots ambush your ATATS and troops killing all your troops and ATATS scary
Guest IdLe_WorkeR Posted November 29, 2001 Posted November 29, 2001 Ten fighter aircraft can take 200 of them out in instants! Your AT-ATs are safe!
DashRendar Posted November 29, 2001 Posted November 29, 2001 I am not sure of this but the Probots have better range good speed(maybe not better but good) 1 less attack but fire faster than the scout so overall the probot is just as an effective scout as the scout if not better plus they'd probably be good for 2nd tech rushing
Zygomaticus Posted November 29, 2001 Posted November 29, 2001 is the probot available to all civs or only the imperial Empire
DashRendar Posted November 29, 2001 Posted November 29, 2001 Only the Empire who gets them in the Second Tech
