I know some of the people who work on the game come here, so hopefully we can give them some ideas.

I think the game is great, although I wish you could find a way to add some new units to the game.

The ground units are well balanced. You have your infantry, mechs, and artilery. The sea is also well balanced, but the air units are at a slight disadvantage. Fighters and bombers are the equivalent of infantry in the air. You need capital ships to balance the game. They would be the giant mechs of the air. Yes, I'm talking about Star Destroyers, Correlians, ect... That way the game would be well balanced. I find that the game is focused alot around mechs. Maybe if you add some capital ships you will add an extra element of statagy and balance. I know there are a few purists who would argue with this, but I think they could be added and still maintain the game's realism. In the game you have starfighters that attack troops, and of course in the movie starfighters attack capital ships and vise versa. Why not have capital ships in the game? sorry if I didn't make much sense in the above...

It would also be cool if the capital ships could carry troups, mechs, and maybe even other smaller air units.

Let me know if there are any other people out there that would like to see capital ships in the game.

Absolutely not! If you have something with the power of a Super Star Destroyer in orbit why would you need troops on the ground to pacify any resistance.

Now, I'd really like to see either the race from the Jedi Order books, the Ancient Sith Empire, or the Old Republic added to the game in an x-pac.

I mean just the unit. Of course they would balance the stats for the game. It's not like they would make the unit with an attack of 900. I think maybe an attack of 15-25 would be fair with a moderate hit points.

Think about it though. If the AT-At stats were acurate troops wouldn't be able to damage them.

If the game stats were acurate units like Jedi could kill every thing on the map.

Having a Capital ship in orbit around the planet you are fighting will cause that side that own that to win because that capital ship can do bombarment against you and it will be the end of your beautiful pitiful empire :D So Having capital warships in this game will make the game thrown off balance. Now if you included Planetary Turbolaser and Planetary Shield Genator then we may start talking now. We can have a toggle between space and land. So if one guy build a capital warship so can you and you guys can fight in space. see? only these two planetary defense will be able to go against Capital Warships in orbit. THought i tell you about this because i have vast exprience in all star wars ships and people. Also could someone shed some light on the Elisciple Star Destroyer? stronger than a Super Star Destroyer...

No, I think you fail to see what I mean. The unit would move on the map like a regular air unit, and would be big (kinda like At-At compaired to a troop). In the Star Wars CCG, which is also considered official lore for the Star Wars universe according to Lucas Arts Entertainment has a card called the "Victory-Class Star Destroyer". In the 'official' lore it says the following...

"Commissioned by the old Republic at the end of the Clone Wars. Rendili StarDrive's Victory-class starship is atmosphere capable but has a low sublight speed".

See it is capable of "Atmosphere" travel, not just space!

Ok, I have a good idea. Here is where the balance comes in again. I would make capital ships like the Star Destroyer weak against troops and strong against mechs. That way there would be a balance in the game, because in the game now there isn't really a unit that has a clear cut advantage against mechs. (Except other mechs).

I don't agree with everything Polaris said but why not each civ have its own capitol ship that just throws a shadow on the planet then there can be a button somewhere taht lets you select your capitol ship

to balance it each capitol ship would have the same stats and each civ would also have Planetary ION Cannon and Plantary Shielding available to them.

My reason for an ION cannon instead of a regular cannon (meaning lasers not IONs) is so that way all the resources used for making the ship are not wasted.

The only way a civ could get a ship like this would be if it had a VERY good economy something like 1000 ore and 500 carbon for the ship its self and then 1000 food and 500 nova for the crew

Also sinse there are living quarters aboard most Capitol Ships it wouldn't take up much if any at all of your Pop Limit

Lastly each civ can receive one and only one Capitol ship per game sinse mass producing them would make it impossible to beat a certain player, but each capitol ship can take fighters, bombers, and transport up then drop them down in an area away from Anti-air which would mean really they would be VERY versatile.

My Thoughts On Stats:

HP:1000

Attack:100

Armor shouldn't really matter much sinse the only other thing that can attack is ION Cannons

Ok I'm done

EDIT:Try Grenade Troopers

EDIT#2:Yes I am bored

I think in an x-pak they should have more civs with more distinct advantages and disadvantages instead of wimpy 5% +/- differences, whopey big deal. But yeah more civs! Like.. the old republic as said in an earlier post, ewok empire, the sand guys with the hoods (I'm not a diehard starwars fan unfortunately so I don't know all the names), Tuskan Raiders (the equivelant to the Huns in AOK possibly), and any new ones that'll be in Episode 2. Another thing I think would be cool is if the speeders actually used their harpoons and cables to trip up the Walkers, I don't know maybe they do I just have the demo but when you attack a regular unit they use blasters. And also if they don't already have it.. a hoth campaign where you play hon solo and luke out in the snow riding those snow creatures and the giant snow monster, and the battle of hoth, a classic..
