ChexDex
I dont know what it is with this power but i only could get it done from up close, and I seen people in MP do this from far away, now do you have to aim at a certain place, is there a trick to it, how do you master it. Swingman
I have trouble using grip too. I can be standing right next to a person (and my force isn't drained or low) and the grip not work. But work when i'm standing a little ways away. I think it needs a little tweaking, mabye a target sign on the intended enemy to say you got a grip lock or something. As it is now, grip is just too unreliable. Push is also bad, I don't understand how some people can resist being pushed while others can get pushed like rag dolls. BioHazzard
I am a light sider so I cant help with the grip thing, but for the push(and pull) it has a lot to do with how you are standing(if you are standing, getting pushed in the air will send you flying)... Swingman
I've been pushed while standing facing them doing nothing, and i've been pushed while on the ground after being pushed. I've been pushed doing about anything
BioHazzard
you can still get pushed, it just affects you differently...
Swingman
Some people just put the arms up like the dark jedi's in singleplayer and don't get pushed an inch. How do they do that?
acdcfanbill
i think the force powers are supposed to be unpredictable, thats part of their nature... even jedi cannot reproduce the same thing over and over again with out some goof ups... besides you are using it on another jedi, they may evade it sometimes... as for push and pull, i also would like to know what says it works and what says it blocks, sometimes it works perfectly, other times they block it everytime... who knows... hmm, raven? Goumindong
i have found that if you put no points into push, you will be thown like a rag doll, similarly with pull, when i come accross someone with no pull, they get rocked. it is the same with the jedi in the single player game. Aiee
To resist push, put points into pull. To resist pull, put points into push. If you're not jumping, rolling, attacking or using force, your character will automatically counter a push/pull if he/she has the opposite power. Canis_Aureus
Grip is easy to do. I can grip running people... no problem. If grip are made any easier it will only be abused. But if you lag it might be hard to grip... my ping is usually 30-50 where I play.

If its in multiplayer or another jedi in single player, they are likely using a skill which is stopping you [drain or absorb or pushing you or pulling you or maybe you are both trying to grip each other] if in single player on non-jedi, you have to target them for a second and hold the force power use key down. the higher your level in grip the farther you can be when using it.
