Rogue15
HEY YOU THERE!!!! *calls up a mod* Rebellion is a good game. It just takes a while to get the hang of how to play it.

Guardian Omega
Agreed. I have it and it's nice too! I played it and I can beat Expert, but I am not even close to be toe to toe with my dad. He beats the cpu so fast it isn't even funny.
Lnt. Kechtt
I agree with this. Rebellion was a good idea, they just needed to get the interface right. I acually like the idea of playing "supreme commander" with the SWU but the interface just has a couple of problems with it in regard to having all those windows open. That and I need to work on my multi tasking skills. I also wish you could do a little bit more with the units and personal then just move them about. But it doesn't need much in that regard. If they just got the flow down alittle better that would do it for me.
Rogue_Ace
I liked rebellion and two days ago i discoverd the way it should have been. Now im not a trekie (no offense to anyone who is:D ) but i have been impressed by Armada I and Armada II and there is a mod out there for the first one that converts it to all Star Wars Ships. It is really sweet you should really try it, its a blast.

OOO
I would love to see a remake of Rebellion, but only if its done right. Rebellion is fun, but it could be SO much better then what it is now. Suffice to say it needs to not be made like one of the other 4x space games which is what they did with Rebellion and is the cause of most of its problems. I'm actually running a game of it right now on small/expert as the rebels. Suffice to say the comp doesn't have a chance at me, I've captured half a dozen officers, killed one on a boatched abduction mission and was actually making attempts on the emperor before I got run out of the coruscant sector So its a fun game, to be sure, but it could have been a helluva lot better. I would love to see a remake of it OOO
Rogue_Ace
Ok this is the URL but i dont know how to post it as a link . http://dynamic2.gamespy.com/~starmada/resources/pages/Mod_Sites/ You know the drill just copy and paste. As for the site it is a whole bunch of different mod sites. Some of them are not working. As for the mode for armada 2 they are working on it but you can DL a preview at one of the sites listed at the site above. If all this does not work for you just go to yahoo and search for armada mods.

Vestril
When I started playing rebellion it was just plain annoying to me, I didn't like the interface and I just found it all too random and weird. But then a few months later I sat back down at it and for some reason started really enjoying it, I still do to this day, the poor graphics are just sort of funny, like an SNES game that isn't really trying to be perfect, and the interface isn't that bad once you get used to it. I think, too, a second game would be cool, especially if they used the recent EU stuff, Yuuzhan Vong invaders and whatnot, I think that would be good fun. BlackDragon
Playing as the Rebels in Supremacy (as it was called over here in good old Blighty - obviously an attempt to appeal to our old Imperialistic heritage!) was, IMHO, a total waste of time. However, playing as the Empire and biding your time until you had two Death stars and then destroying any planet that would not give their total and utter support to your supreme, facist new order I found to be immensely satsifying. Forhekset
Um, Rebellion's graphics aren't bad. Even if they didn't "raise the bar" or anything, it was the terrible interface and the fact that Rebellion was too complicated for its own good that made the game suck. Not many people like to micro-manage to the point that it becomes more like "work" and less like "fun". Still, it's an ok game to play around with now and then. nova_wolf
I have been saying this to people for years - bring back Supremecy. With the newer technology, imagine the possibilities. And it could be open for moding an expansions, so that you could have multiple timelines to play, and have maybe the ENTIRE extended universe mapped out for playing - Yavin, Hoth, Endor, Battle of Mon Calamari, Daala, Thrawn, Zsinji, Ssi Ruuk Imperium, Sun Crusher, Jedi Praexem, Shadow Temple, Smugglers Alliance, Yhuzhan Vong invasion, Solo children, Clone Wars. And ll the new units - E-Wings units, K-Wings units, new TIEs, new capital ships (Bothan Fire Cruiser), smugglers, battle droid detachments, jedi strike forces, rebel speeder units. And all the new possibitlites - certain vessels are researched, but others are only available if you control certain planets, eg: As Rebels: MC Cruisers would be available, but if you get control of MC, build speed improves, and you can research new variants (MC 40 Light Cruiser for example). Bothan Homeworld allows Bothan Fire Cruiser. Kashyyk provides wookie unit, Sullust Sullustian units etc. As Imps: Carida provides better Stormies, Kessel gets you the Maw, and so Sun Crusher, hull disintergrator. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much to be done.... I REALLY should play it again sometime soon...
gonk-raider
I gota question.. how do you make the bounty hunters appear?? I never found out how sometimes they will never show up and others they deside to pop out and find solo.. what is needed to get their assistance? SithMaster2003
I like a person who knows there Star Wars stuff. It means they are true fans and know how the Star wars Universe really works. Anyways, on to my thoughts. In my opinion, Rebellion was a great game. Sure the interface was a little screwy and the extreme micromanagement was annoying, but the game could really kick some @$$. To this day I still pull it out and play it for a few days before i put it back up on the shelf for a bit because i have someting more important to do. Of all the games I own, I think have have played rebellion 10X more than the others. In case you are wondering, this list includes games such as Sim City 300 Unlimited, The Sims, Roller Coaster Tycoon, JK, JK2, Star Wars space simulators, and some other good games that I like. Now, I dont know about you, but i think the 3 games at the top of that list are some of the most addicting games ever made and I think that Rebellion is even more addicting. As for my ideas on a future for Rebellion... The part I loved most about Rebellion was the opportunity the command fleets of starships and starfighters. The only prob with Rebellion was that i couldn't get enough of it. Thats why i would like to see a version of Rebellion where the player can be put into the captain's chair and command your fleet to victory over the opposing faction. So here are some details for my idea... For the Empire. You start the game as a captain of a lone ship, like a Carrack Cruiser or Drednaught. You fight a few battles and attempt to come out victorious. The more successful battles you complete, the higher up in rank you go. As you advance in rank, you get more ships put under your command. Eventually you get the big guns to play with and even end up becomming an admiral and commanding the entire Imperial fleet. For the New Republic. Well, it is pretty much the same thing except that you use New Republic ships instead of Imperial ships. There could also be other factions, like the Vong, ,pirates, or even working for the Hutts. Tell me what you think, I would love to know if anyone else shares this same idea.

Sunshine
Rebellion is an okay game to play if you're really bored but for the most part it seemed to me like the whole game was more about diplomacy than fighting. And when you did get into a large battle, if you survived that long the other side is probably hurting and can't field large fleets.....once you take Coruscant it's just a really long moping up action, going from one planet to the next looking for the Emperor and Vader (boring). Rebellion 2 would have to be totally different.

I have taken in far too much material from too many sources to list. I am starting to use SW insults/quotes in everyday life! I read too much... As for my ideas on a future for Rebellion... However... I don't think it should be Rebellion two. I seriously think that it should stay the sort of game it is. The idea you have would be great as a new title - Star Wars : Fleet Commander (Um, the initials FC conjure up bad memories) or something, but I have to say that if Rebellion DOES come back, I would rather it did as I have already noted up top. Besides, what you have just described may well be the way the SW:Galaxies vessel expansion operates. Does sound likely. As for sunshine, well - you aren't living up to your name. Diplomacy was important, especially as the Rebels - it's what makes the Rebels different from the Empire - ethics, morals - trying non-lethal options when & where possible. Oh, and Gonk Raider, the Bounty Hunters - they just appeared. It was something that was part of the main storyline (well, duh - teaching granny to suck eggs here, sorry), and started off the whole chain of events leading to Emperor vs Luke. Just, kinda, happened.
gonk-raider
Doesnt happen much ofr me.. nova_wolf
Ummmm... Bit harsh - it will happen, but you just gotta stick with it. Thats the only real thing about Supremecy - you gotta keep with it for a WHILE before it hots up, unlike multiplayer. In my old college, I got a fellow SW fan to play it, and got him a copy of it (okay - I dont REALLY condone copying, but can YOU find Supremecy like that - I found mine by sheer fluke alone). Anyway, set a server up across college network (boy were THEY pissed) and played. Within in 100 days, I had; Inaved all of Sesswanna but Coruscant, Carried out a successful sabotage mission on his only VSD (his only vessel) when he had no shipyards, And about 200 days later, ahd the MC Cruiser, Nebulon, A-Wing and B-Wing... HAHAHA - I must pled guilty to Newbie Bashing on that occassion, but HAHAHA - how we did laugh...
DashRendar1
Rebellion was pretty cool. I was bad at it, though, I only won once as the Rebels. (I gathered all of my ships at the beginning and rushed Coruscant.) A remake would be cool. Space battles would look really cool, like Homeworld. Troop Combat should be implemented. Prince Legolas
I love the game. Its a pitty it just takes so long to play as the only mate who likes to LAN doesn't have a good enough attention span to play it. Plus he decides to "play something new cos this is geting boring" once I start to get higher in the scores. (he hates me in Medal of Honour as I am very good at being a sniper for Germany - I found the perfect cammo skin in the German side... plus I dont like playing a Yank ). The single player game was good though. It is the best strategy game for starwars ever. Force Commander and Galactic Battlegrounds were good in their own right, but both didn't have the STRATEGY needed for a STRATEGY GAME. Most RTS games should be called real-time-tactics games since you only need tactics in games like that. Strategy is often confused with tactics. But I am drifting... My point: Rebellion was and is great as it is. As long as you like playing the same game for days and even weeks. The last game I played lasted about a month of real-world time. (I didn't play it 24/7 though)
Kanubis
I loved Supremacy (Rebellion, whatever.). I'd start playing it in the evening when I was at uni and keep going until I finished it at seven or eight the next morning (lord, how I miss university...). Did anyone else notice that the computer, no matter how well you played, always made sure that one key character was always near impossible to track down? This would still happen when you had all but two or three of the planets, and the damn machine just kept moving them so you couldn't win by capture.
