Starting Jedi Outcast

I have read somewhere that Kyle starts out with a pistol and his lightsaber. In addition his pistol is supposed to have a scope. First of all, I do not seem to have a lightsaber and second how do you activate the scope?

If you peruse the manual and the 'readme.txt' file, it states very clearly that you start with NO lightsaber and NO force powers. You start with only the stun baton and bryar pistol. If you further check the weapons descriptions, you will see that the Bryar has no scope - only the disruptor has one.

 

Not tryign to be harsh, I'm sure you're just excited about getting started, but it seems to me that flipping through the manual would take less time tahn to log on here and post a question. I always advise people to take the install time to flip through the manual, and skim the readme file before starting a game.

The only place Kyle ever starts out with a lightsaber is at the beginning of Mysteries of the Sith, the expansion pack to Jedi Knight. I agree with the previous post that someone was confused.
