itsgood2slide Posted April 29, 2002 Posted April 29, 2002 The gamecube will finally launch in the UK on friday, I have mine pre ordered with super monkey ball & I'm just wondering whether or not to buy another launch game? btw I have not included SSBM as an option because I can't stand beat-em-up games.
Heavyarms Posted April 30, 2002 Posted April 30, 2002 2 games you didn't mention: spyhunter or Sonic Adventure 2. I'd also go with rogue leader or Batman:vengeance. Also, Spiderman is supposed to be good. Too many choices .
itsgood2slide Posted April 30, 2002 Author Posted April 30, 2002 I already have Spy Hunter on my PS2 & its great. I have a demo of Sonic Adventure 1 and I didnt like it much, I'm not one for 3D platformers. Batman/Spiderman aren't really my kind of thing either.
Sherack Nhar Posted April 30, 2002 Posted April 30, 2002 You should check out Sega Soccer Slam as well. It's not your father's soccer
itsgood2slide Posted May 1, 2002 Author Posted May 1, 2002 true, my father plays football, not "soccer"
Master Yoda Posted May 2, 2002 Posted May 2, 2002 I suggest getting RL it is a great game, and you can show off the graphics of the GCN with it(same with RE).
Darklighter Posted May 23, 2002 Posted May 23, 2002 You right itsgoodtoslide, as a fellow UK'an I can say it is called football because you use your feet!
Darklighter Posted May 23, 2002 Posted May 23, 2002 Seriously, I think Rogue Leader is your best bet. Luigi's Mansion, for one, is too short an the gameplay becomes quite repetitive. Same goes for Resi Evil, as well as having very limited gameplay (rooms and corridors, anyone). Wave Race and Burnout lose their appeal quite quickly (although Wave Race is probably better in all respects). There's just one more game you forgort - Smash Bros Melee!! Excellent, excellent title. Worth a look!

There's just one more game you forgort - Smash Bros Melee!! hmmm I'm still waiting for my Gamecube to actually come... when it does I'll be getting both Rogue Leader & Burnout. I've since played Luigi & did not think much of it.
