yrean Posted May 6, 2002 Author Share Posted May 6, 2002 ok..i think everyone is missing the point of this post..... i can and i have made some of my own prefabs...this is not the first time of made a map etc.... im not looking for anything so much as to save time...as in...an arched door way....do i know how to make an arched door way out of a square cylinder and to bend it..yes...but i make it look so many ways etc...im looking for unique here and different then i would think up.... i made some maps a while back for quake3 and there were alot of prefabs for arched doors...pillars...torches..generators...hallways..etc... now i say this again...can i make all of these things..YES!!!! Forget it youve all missed the point on what a prefab is...you especialy should know this if your doing this with wired lamp studios... some people are better at different aspects of creation...that is why you work in a team....not to avoid doing work...but to come together to make a better product....ya know...forget it...you totally missed the point. eziz Posted May 6, 2002 Share Posted May 6, 2002 Well, yesterday when I was fiddling with the models I got an idea to start compiling a pack with all the bounding boxes for the models, so 10 minutes later I had the X-Wing, TIE Fighter, Bespin Twinpod and Shuttle Tydirium bounding models made. If you want, I can accelerate my plans. Torch types include: small hallway wall-fitting fire thingy, free standing(small and large), collumn fitting, and one that can be suspended between four pillars(not quite done with that one yet). The freestanding ones, though, are kind of simple. Just cylinders that have been capped. My chandolier(spelling?) thing (the one that goes between four columns) is quite cool. When I post screens of my "Mimban Temple (Duel Version)" map (which, btw, got completely erased a while back ) the one that shows the upper level of the center room will have it in there (the chandolier thing). That's my favorite part of map building, making the little things. Like torches. You know, scenery items. Well, I'll finish my things and I'll post them or something.
