SlapNut
well, since I have no clue how to make maps and, I wouldnt understand anyway, I have thought up a pretty good idea for a map. #I have seen alot of indoor night time type levels so i think there sould be a levle situated in a forrest at day time. But not all hevy dence forrest, it can have a big sandy open fighting area with a fire in the midle, and a bridge for one on one duels where you can fall off either side. But it would be good to have an out door forest levle with some interesting trees and sceanary. so if some of you map makers out there like the idea, pleas reply or e-mail me or something, i woule make it if I could! DannyJAllTheWay
Well, The forest map just has the wall textures looking like trees. I think he wants actual trees that you can move around...

Imran
Well. If you want this map made, do it yourself, if you don't know how. Learn. I was like you once. RADIANT IS EASY, give it a shot, Im sure it would be frustrating at first, but nothing is as exiting as running around in your first box, shooting the walls and jumping off the sides. Garland
I just finished an outdoor garden type level with trees, but no bridge or sandy area. I'll release the level to JKII.net here soon. There's a day and night version in the same pk3, so that's covered. -Garland

JumboMonkeyfish
sounds like the map im currently working on, except mine is a small outdoor garden infront of a yavin-style temple. But your idea sounds like it could be a very good level. And like it was said before in this thread, radiant is very easy to use. Check around to see if any JK2R tutorials have been released, or go to qeradiant.com, or search for qeradiant tutorials to learn how to use radiant. (i myself was lucky because of all the similarities between JK2R and worldcraft, and just about any of the recent gaming editors out there. all starting to resemble 3dsmax more and more, thank god!!) -Jumbo Monkeyfish
SlapNut
ok, but wat does radient and all that mean, how do i start making my map?
Andy867
Radiant as in Jk2Radiant is the mapping utility that Raven released to the public not too long ago... Personally, I couldn;'t learn mapping evenr since Duke Nukem, that's why I design maps in 3d, or brainstorm them, and send the idea to known or beginning mappers to have them take a crack at it...
