Jango_Jinn
Ok, I'm sure this has been asked 1000 times... I'm sorry. The search option on these forums does not work. I'm buying a Geforce 3 Ti 200 tomorrow to replace my RIVA TNT 16 MB. These are my system specs... Pent. III 450 MHZ 256 MB RAM Geforce 3 Ti200 (Hopefully) Is this enough to run Jedi Outcast semi-smoothly?? I just want to know if I should even bother buying this game, or save up some cash and wait for a REAL upgrade.
Ham Yoyo
It should. Below are the system requirements. I have a GeForce3 Ti 200 and runs smooth with my Pentium 4 1.8GHz Northwood. System Requirements ------------------- Computer: 100% DirectX compatible computer required. CPU: Pentium II 350 MHz or faster CPU required. Pentium III or Athlon class 500 MHz or faster CPU recommended. Memory: 64 MB RAM required. 128 MB RAM recommended. 128 MB required for Windows 2000 and XP. Graphics Card: 16 MB OpenGL compatible AGP or PCI 3D Hardware Accelerator required. 32 MB recommended. Sound Card: 16-bit sound card required. CD-ROM: Quad Speed CD-ROM drive required. Input Device: Keyboard and mouse required. Joystick supported. DirectX: Microsoft DirectX 8.0a is included on this CD. You will be prompted to install DirectX during installation of this game if a more recent version isn't already properly installed on your system. NOTE: DirectX may require the "latest" updates for your operating system. This may also include the latest drivers for your particular motherboard, sound and video hardware. Installation: Installation requires 620 MB of free hard drive space. We recommend that you have at least an additional 200 MB of free space available after installing the game for the Windows swap/page file and save games. Multiplayer Support ------------------- Pentium II 400 MHz or faster CPU recommended for Multiplayer. Pentium III 600 MHz or faster recommended for Dedicated Server. Local Area Network Play: Supports up to 32 players via Local Area Network. Internet Play: Supports up to 16+ players via 56Kbps or faster connection to the Internet. SPY_jmr1
why not just wait 2 days, DL the DEMO, and save your money? then you can see if it will run on your comp.
Jango_Jinn
Oh, the demo? Finally! Yea, that's a good call. Good looking out. That's a better idea. I'll do that. From what I understand that those minimum system requirements, is that they are VERY minimum, up to the point that it's really no fun graphically. That's why I'm a little "iffy" on minimun specs on ANY new games these days. Thats just me, though. Thanx for your imput.
Letalis
I just posted similarly over in Yoda's Swamp. I have a P2 350MHz with 192MG Ram and am using a Riva TNT2 32MG and mine runs fine. I don't think you'll have a problem. I can't run it at super-res or anything like that, but it does the job well. Hope it helps.
