Pedantic
I can't see it at midnight 'cause stupid Regal Cinemas around where I live don't have any midnight showings. But I have tickets for the next earliest showing--12:00pm. So I'll miss some school; 'tis a small sacrifice.
Vestril
I was originally going to just wait till the next day...but its playing at midnight at the most awesome theater in tow, therefore I MUST SEE IT AT MIDNIGHT!!! *deep breath*

TiE23
I had a friend over on Sunday with his mom and dad, and his moms b-day was coming on the 23rd and she said my family would see AOTC 9 whole days after it come out with them ! Now my mom is not a Star Wars nut but she said that would go see it in the morning on Friday. But my mom first movie date with my dad was Empire Srikes Back. Kanubis
8.30pm on the 16th. I was going to take the day off work, but the I decided I didn't want to be surrounded by kids anyway. You know what the best thing is? The fact we get it same day as America, because three years ago we basically had to avoid all forums and US web pages for a month and a half if we wanted to keep any sense of mystery about the film. Jedi_Monk
I'm going to see AotC at the 8:00 showing on day one... I'm kinda mad about being grouped together in that poll with the lusterless people who said "first few days..." The poll should say "FIRST DAY, BABY!" Vestril
Why not? Do the people in the room somehow take away from your enjoyment of the movie?...
Mobius47
i am pretty much apathetic about episode 2 i find it hard to care dont know why i will see it eventually though - (my sig)
LooNBB
I think the Crowd can totally take away from the movie... I'd rather see it in an empty theater rather than be there with a bunch of Freaks smelling like crap from camping for days screaming Nonsense at the screen and then bitching the whole way out 'cause it didn't meet their expectations. I am going in a bout 2 weeks at Noon in the most remote theater in the area.
Vestril
Well...first off there are only a few places where you can camp out in line, so really I don't think that's a concern except to a very limited crowd. Secondly you guys are really depressing, any FUN people feel like posting?

TheDarkSide
Well, Vestril - I'm with you. I love to watch movies on opening day, especially the ones where people are all pumped up about the movie. There's a certain energy you that you can feel, an actual buzz about the movie. People don't know what to expect, and you just *feel* the emotion of the crowd. When people are surprised they scream, when they are happy they cheer. Nothing's better than seeing the opening text, "A long time ago, etc etc" and then hearing the crowd roar to life when the giant Star Wars logo appears and moves from foreground to background. I've gone to see all the Star Wars Films on their opening nights (granted I'm talking S.E. about the OT ones), and there's something about it that's just more fun. I don't dress up, but I do get there sufficiently early enough to ensure a great seat (middle of the screen, exactly half the way up). I absolutely hate going to a movie theatre that only has 3 other people in it. I'm taking a day off from work to go with a couple of buddies of mine (also avid JK2 players) and we're catching the show at the Digital Projection Theatre here in Dallas , Texas at 12:30 PM. I can hardly wait!!! :D Of course my wife doesn't really understand, but she doesn't have to. She has accepted it as a condition of our marriage She tolerates it, and that's all I can ask! *kiss* TDS
