Talain Posted May 20, 2002 Posted May 20, 2002 Actually, while the queue system seems fine, and in fact I do like it, I'd prefer a fallout style system. That would kick buttock.
setsuko Posted May 20, 2002 Posted May 20, 2002 Fallout's system (the S.P.E.C.I.A.L system and the old turnbased mode) is a killer in a singleplayer game. It gets daunting in a multiplayer game (Tactics, anyone?), and would be horrible in a MMORPG. Imagine waiting for 3 hours until everyone on the servar has made their move! Thats why combat has to be in real time.

I know many of my friends don't play online games like DAOC/UO because of regular modems. In EQ as well. I personally use a cable modem I hope what ever combat system they use is fluid.
