sights0d
I'm compiling a not terribly large FFA map and sof2 is taking FOREVER (many multiples of what it has taken before). This isn't a very complex map. Any ideas?
Cmdr. Antilles
It's a .bsp, and the VIS process is probably what's taking so long... Go back, and make all brushes that aren't walls ceilings, floors, or boundary (touching the 'void' - gray background in jk2r) 'detail', which is done by slected them and pressing 'control+m" Then, your compile time should drop. Do that to another copy of your map just to be safe. Hope that makes sense, because I REALLY don't feel like going into more depth.
DeTRiTiC-iQ
I'm having a similar problem, its getting stuck in the Vis stage, but my last level was considerably larger, had very little vis saving stuff and took hardly any time. This is just the first room and it takes forever.
