Guest Kurgan
Wow, just watched the Cnet E3 interviews with Dan Connors about Obi-Wan. These are the best I've seen thus far, and in many ways, one-ups our preview of Obi-Wan. Perhaps because it has the developers doing most of the talking. While our review was aimed at a general view of the game and answering some questions you the fans had, this one seems to be more their own spiel on the game. Here are some tidbits I found interesting, according to Dan Connors, interviewed by Cnet in the videos: In Multiplayer, Darth Maul will have access to his double-edged saber (that's what they called it), and will have access to "all the evil powers" such as "the choke" (grip), and "lightning" he said. Other MP characters were mentioned that would not use the Force or Saber. "Capture the Flag", "Rescue the Queen" and "Other cooperative modes" and "team play" were mentioned as being worked on for MP. In addition to Force Block and Force Push, and Force Pull in MP are mentioned. Actual human civilians were seen talking to Obi-Wan and running from their attackers, or being killed (accidentally). Blaster scarring was clearly shown on a few walls. It was mentioned that possible ridable speeders and STAPS were being worked on. The Sith agents were mentioned as having the same types of acrobatic moves that Maul possessed (and Maul was said to have more acrobatic moves than the other characters), but no mention was made of what powers the Sith Agents might have. The Tusken underworld (creative plot liscense) was mentioned. The "Ion Grenade" was shown being used in SP. The weapon was supposed to be effective on Battle Droids, but not harming the player. It did a big bright blue flash when thrown. A type of blaster rifle was shown being used in Multiplayer as well. Kurgan ------------------
