I'm charmed that beating me seems to have been the high point of your day, but try not to get too excited... ;)

I swear, I grew up around girls telling me how much smarter girls are than boys, and talking all sorts of trash about men in general

Perhaps, but given who winds up earning higher wages, having less trouble with workplace discrimination in general, et cetera... I don't think you've much room to complain about some minor childhood indignities... ;)

If I were worried about such things, I suppose I would be proud for men in general. The truth is that I don't care how much money I make, if I was I would have just stayed in college and done exactly what my dad told me to do, eventually working for him as some sort of economist and making myself a nice, very easy and normal life.

As things stand...who knows what sort of life I'll lead, but at least it will be my life :D

The point is that if you are intelligent, and well qualified, you won't get discriminated against, you'll work your way out of it, the law is on your side. The law is extremely gender biased towards women, and is becoming more so as time passes.

One good example is how little control a man has over his children. If I got my girlfriend (well ok...theoretical girlfriend :p) pregrnant, and she decided to have the baby and I didn't want it, I would just have to deal with the fact that she had it, and if matters went to court I would have to help support the child. On the other hand, if I wanted to have the child, and she didn't--it simply wouldn't be born (I don't want to say the word because I don't want to get into that particular argument). Anyway, my point is that the law heavily favors women there, if men have no control over whether their children will be born, we shouldn't be expected to support those children. It's all the responsibility with none of the benefit, which is unreasonable, IMO.

Anyway, there are a lot of inequeties as far as gender in laws and 'the way the world works'

PS If you think I should delete/edit this post let me know, I know I'm talking about some touchy things here... but I do enjoy debate :) I am willing to continue it in PM, if that is preferable
