What are the ADMIN COmmands?

Greetings All,

 

Ive jus recently become an admin on a server, and besides knowing how to kick people and psot a server message im unaware of what else im capable of doing. IS there a list of all the /rcon controls? Or can somsoen help me out and tell me all thats possible so I can be a good admin.

You can use this from a client console with the rcon command previously set:

 

/rcon cmdlist

 

You can use cmdlist directly from the server console as well.

It should be noted that there are differences between stock Q3 console commands and JK2. One of the most noteable is that under JK2 admins need to use svsay rather than say to broadcast messages to the plaeyrs from the console. There's also a good number of Q3 commands that aren't present in JK2, such as banClient and banUser. I'd recommend using cmdlist to check for yourself and then compare what is available to the Q3 listings for explanations of those you don't understand. Or, you could just ask here.

Most of the commands listed on the page work on Jedi Knight, after all its using the Quake 3 Engine.

 

Broadcast also works by "rcon password whateveryouwanttosay"

However, if you don't use svsay, you'll notice that the line doesn't always print immediately and that it often lacks a cr at the end. Ultimately, I don't believe that any command not listed in the cmdlist is going to work. As I mentioned, it's quite simple to check the cmdlist and use the descriptions on Keen's page to figure out what they do.
