BCanr2d2
Nah, expect the DVD's for the OT in 2006-7, depends on how much time GL is giving to touching up the OT whilst ILM and Skywalker Sound spends most of it's time on the current trilogy. If there is some work going on no, we may get it in 2006, but not before then. Do not expect a pre-Xmas 2005 release of the OT with the Episode 3 DVD... Blobbafett
I think we can all appreciate the wait for the OT DVDs .....but dammit! what I need to know right now is what about this much gossiped re - release of The Phantom Menace? it sucks now that it seems they feel the need to bring out five zillion different versions of the damn film, with bonus footage extra, deleted scenes, etc etc etc........ has anyone seen the fact that for the new UK release of the Lord Of The Rings there appears to be about four different versions of the DVD.... I'll say that again FOUR different versions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! bog standard.. bog standard plus extra dvd with footage, bonus extras.... full directors cut (4 hour! / four disc ) version.... and then a super deluxe four disc collectors box set!!! crikey! Im sure quite a lot of you are like me, aiming to be a little bit of a completist-(esp when it comes to Star Wars) and not at all happy if you feel your missing out on something that someone else has got.... ( girlfriends rank high on that list at the moment) It IS all a little bit crazy lately, isnt it?- who remembers the countless cash-ins on the original trilogys many many video tape re-releases and re-hashes (not to mention the special editions)?... for all my whinging though - no doubt i'll still buy the blooming thing/s ( as long as it is worth it mind you)... I have to say though - a large part of me ( no chuckling at the back!) yearns for the days of the enormously skilled modellers, animators, painters, set designers, and visual effects crews ... Whilst I still very much appreciate the amazing work of the CGI artistes, am I the only one beginning to become really sick of the same " oh and this is how we did this shot...oh LOOK! ITS BLUESCREEN AND COMPUTERS!........ *mumbles*...once more" behind the scenes footage? blimey another rant and winge! ...well I always say....if your good at it...why give it up?
