Lord Naga Sadow
just wanted to point this out... in the movie, if u look closely at the clone troopers helmet/shoulderpad/starships u can see the Galactic Empire Insignia Already there Curious isn't it? Duncan Barr
Nope- you can clearly see it in TPM, in many scenes Palpatine is in, plus on Obi-Wans Jedi Starfighter. Its quite obvious even from watching TPM that the Republic becomes the Empire, rather than be defeated by it. Even the OT gives clues to this- as the downfall mentioned is always of the Jedi Knights- NOT THE REPUBLIC. Plus the Rebels are called the Rebel Alliance, with no reference to being affiliated to the Old Republic.
Leagle
It becomes the Imperial crest, but it was originally the KDY insignia. They become powerful withing the empire. They create the military. (Way more than SFS.) They manufacture the Jedi fighter, the As-whatever, they build the Star destroyers and the command modules on all the major SD-alikes. The mainstay starship used is a SD-alike, and the VSD will be comissioned after the clone wars... (It is called Victory for a reason.)
Ewok Hunter
huh.. i thougt that the VSD were the older and less eficent models that were gradualy being replaced by the new imp stars and imp star 2s

The Alliance to restore the Republic. Wasn't it called that in one of the OT films?

You are the one showing your ignorance. The VSD is called "victory" for a reason. Read my post again, you 1/2 wit!
Jedi_Monk
If it was the KDY insignia, what was it doing on the helmets of some of the clonetroopers? Is KDY in league with the oh-so-secretive Kaminoans?
GidionTheDead
If it was the KDY insignia, what was it doing on the helmets of some of the clonetroopers? Is KDY in league with the oh-so-secretive Kaminoans? 1) Sienar. Builds only smaller ships (like Darth Maul's) and currently works on the Twin Ion Engine *geekish TIE-Fighter sound from this side of the screen* 2) Incom. Currently producing the Z-95 Headhunter and they never did bigger ships. 3) Calamari never produced ships for anyone but themselves. 4) Correllia Engineering Corp. They build freighters and cargo ships only. Not really suited for troop transport. 5) The Trade Federation. Well, they wouldn't like to build ships for the republic and the republic wouldn't like to pay THEM for the ships. 6) Noobian... Well, Naboo is a peaceful planet... blah, blah, blah... *Deathstar Testing: POSITIVE* 7) Kuat Drive Yards. Well, they are big, nasty and corrupt. BINGO! To answer the helmet question: Kuat does produce space suits and military equipment. The clone trooper/stormtrooper suit has limited zero-g capabilities. Possible connection? Caldera
Where is the Imperial insigna in TPM? I have seen it an unbelievable number of times and i have never seen it. However, i definately noticed on the clonetrooper helments and armpads.
GidionTheDead
I want to know where you're getting your information, Gidion. All the Technical Manuals, behind the Magic, the (old!) Star Wars RPG, and lots of internet sources. And whatever is left of my brain did it's part as well.
Jedi_Monk
Spacifically the information about that being the KDY insignia; and I want quotes, as well.
