Awesome work sith, I have to admit Im quickly becoming a major fan of your work, Vader was awesome. Exar my second favorite sith(Vader/Anakin being the first) is looking great so far.

Looking forward to seeing alot more models put out by you in the future I hope.

i live near the kingsway mall in ed, near NAIT

:)

and i do realize that the pads are a bit oversized, but that was to avoid having the shoulders or arms clipping through the pads

and thank u for the comments guys

i figure exar will be ready soon, i want to try and work facial animation into this model

OMG JRA_Wolf, I've been looking for this. Resubmit you file. It's a pain for the JK2.net staff to maintain files/site because of the bandwidth problems. If they havent posted it up, I will get it uploaded through someone in the staff personally.

well

thats almost rdy to go

:)

i should have the UV mapping all done today, then i can try and import it into the game. After that, i will just be left waiting for the texture map to be finished, i think i will start on it and hand the reigns off to someone more experienced

I think you should make Exar with the Sith weapon.... and please dont forget the pony tail. SDK pls, we need cloaks on these jedi!!

Now my question to Limbonik 2.0 is who is doing Ulic Qel-Droma (my fav jedi)?

Well, I have a couple of modelers in mind. (*cough*) But he is a plan for our mod, that much is for sure. I want to include him with and without his armour in the end result...

damn sithlord, your a busy guy but keep up the excellent work. It is so friggin cool that your second model is of Exar Kun, possibly the coolest sith lord aside from Vader and the first to have a dual bladed saber. I cant wait until this one comes out :)

ps. will you be releasing a mod so that you can actually play as vader in sp

one little update for tonite

not a big one, but i've started on the texture mapping now, and will also begin to import the model into JK 2 as well. LODs will go underway once the model is completely skinned and imported.

i've started learning a bit more about texturing, but the face is gonna be a bit of an issue for me if i do it all on my own

heheh

might just splice together parts of the faces used for JK2 for my first face texture, if that doesn't turn out looking too much like frankenstein's monster

hi ther

well i use 3d studio

i learned 3d studio just mostly by playing with it, bought a few books, each were about 50 bucks, and tutorials from http://www.3dcafe.com

as for the texture i use photoshop, i used a few tutorials to learn the interface but now absath has been helping me a bit with the tunic, etc

:)

and as for today's shots.... well a bit of a nice update at least

almost painless setup

http://www.geocities.com/macrossplus3d/exar_MODVIEW4.txt

and the face is also WIP... i haven't done a face before, i have made this by modifying luke's face skin, rearranging the mouth, etc... so please be gentle on this one. I think the chin of the model needs to be wider. And note he is missing his tattoo on his forehead

I think I just pee'd myself. ROFL.

Exar Kun wears NO nosepad...eheh. Evil Incarnate wears nothing ridiculous like that.

Awesome, awesome, awesome Sith. Getting better by the day. You should really show them one of the face pics with the new tat on it.

Trust me, I know there are some people out there who are really looking forward to this model, but poor Sith already has to deal with me on a 24/7 basis going: "Gimme Exar! Gimme Exar! Gimme Exar!" - It should be soon, though I wish it were now. :D

Impressive to say the least.

Just out of curiousity, how did you, spacemonkey and adseth, learn to model and the likes?

Did u guys find and F****N A tutorials on the net, or just teach urselves.

I teach myself most programs and things.

But 3DMax and model making has me stumped.

Any pointers would be great.

Keep up the good work.

FYI - The general conception is that u should be able to fit a third eye inbetween the 2 eyes (of a human that is) - and the fact that you have quite wide eyes, close together could be what is giving the impression that they are big.

Just a suggestion. But seeing u are so far into it - i'd not bother, cause the model looks great as is to me.
