(I know this is a reverse of an earlier decision, but I don't care anymore. ) The map is now being switched around constantly until it's how I want it... we are now at Beta v0.9 for those concerned... Next might need to be 0.95 (yeesh) My original concern for music was really that I didn't want people to need to download it... but without music, it's already 2.5MB, so what the hell, I threw in Jango's Escape...

I have trouble on the bottom and top parts (just slightly), if you could just list what you used for sky_up,_dn,_rt,_lf,_bk and their proper corresponding values for Angle AND Position of camera that'd be great!!

Let's see... first of all, all camera angles are with FOV 112.5 degrees because of that stupid backwards compatibility bug in Bryce...) Camera position itself doesn't matter. Just put it where you want it in relation to your terrain. This will be one of the tutorial I make, by the way. In any case... Camera Angle (X Y Z) _rt = 0 0 0 _ft = 0 90 0 _lf = 0 180 0 _bk = 0 270 0 _up = 270 0 0 _dn = 90 0 0 Not that _up and _dn are lined up with the _rt texture... Lime-Light Posted June 10, 2002 Posted June 10, 2002 theres no room for a ship on the platform. EDIT: Im glad you went for the watery skybox, its a huge improvemtent over the "lost in a void" feeling I got when playing it. And everyone keep in mind that he runs in 16bit, so his S-shots suck.

Probably me [/b] Yah, it's you. The water actually appears infinitely below you as it's in the skybox. And kenad, those side pieces are actually almost exactly what I built at first... except r_speeds were hitting around 20k with no NPCs and I wasn't going to punish people with low-end systems.

pud1 Posted June 11, 2002 Posted June 11, 2002 that guy's skybox is cool although his platform actually sucks and is no where near accurate! Rich's platform is so smooth and realistic-looking. I really applaud rich for making a nice map and hope it comes out soon
