bigDAN456
Is it possible to wield two double-bladed lightsabers at a time(not in JK2)? Like say for instance, if you had two double bladed light sabers at the same time could you fight with both of them effectivliy?
xSauronx
OK, go get a couple of sticks, maybe wood dowels or whatever. 6 ft long each? Ok, try beating your brother up with them without hitting yourself and by doing more than just poking him...remember, hold them in the middle and draw lines where the "hilt" ends. ok, now lets say youd wanna use short bladed sabers... maybe maybe the dowels about 4 feet or whatever is comfortable. Ok, hold em in the middle, give your bro a stick (which, you pansy, you should have done the first time) and try to pWn him without hitting yourself with your own sticks... howd it go? bigDAN456
i asked this because i think it would be cool if there was a jedi that usd two double bladed light sabers at a time.
hyrit
You'd have as much control as a pig on rollerskates. I'd rather see someone with two small sabers, one in each hand, only held upside-down. You know, used as knives sort of. I mean, as long as the Force tells them where to block with, it should still be a viable weapon, and I'd imagine the short blades would make it easier to use without losing your own limbs. I will disagree.... since when does light weigh anything? make two handles out of dowel dont worry about the length of the light blade as the blade length can be adjusted to suit the size of the user, as to not scrape on the ground when swung
hyrit
Wh0r3(I never thought I'd be calling someone that without an insult meant), I think he means more along the lines of using them without hitting yourself instead of the weight/wieldliness of them. I mean, a single double-bladed saber is harder to use than a regular one(which isn't easy anyway). That's why they're mostly just used for training...it's harder to use than anything you're likely to use normally, which is the best way to train. It's the same as running with weights on. When you actually run in a race, you're not going to carry that much weight, but because you trained with the weight, you'll be that much faster. The idea is that when you go from a double bladed saber to a single one, it'd be much easier to use, giving you the impression that it's easy. It's actually funny, because in the case of lightsabers, simple is supposed to be better.

kasiel
miyamoto musashi always advocated the use of two blades.. following the logic of... "if you're gonna win or die anyway, why die with one blade (the wakisashi) still on your waist?"
hyrit
Musashi rules, hehe. At one point I had a bind for duels that said "Will you be my Kojiro?" Unfortunately, the meaning was lost on most... Though, Musashi didn't have two double ended swords... That'd have been a *real* feat.
kasiel
oh,, we're talking about LIGHSTAFFS!! sorry about the confusion,,, yeah, Bo's and Jo's would probably be a LOT harder to control actually, I never got the idea of Maul fighting both Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon at the same time.. the usual tactic is to run away until you're on a 1 on 1 situation with the faster of the pursuers.. (which I guess is eventually what happened)
