justplainzero
yes yes i know..stupid questions...but why do the bots just "jump around" the whole time?? can this be fixed?
Psiblade
Yep in can be fixed, if your a programmer and familiar with the bots Pathing code. The computer bot basically needs to know what it's options are at any given time, and it's best course of action. Without confusing the hell out of you with programming mumbo jumbo, I'll make it simple.. Take a bot, it may work on the maps it's programmed to but you move it to a new place, and it's like chucking a blindman into the woods and stealing his dog. Xzzy
bots jump around on 3rd party maps because most map makers are too lazy to add bot support. which is stupid, because it's one of the simplest part of making maps.. you basically run around inside the map, and type in a command to specify a point where you want the bot to go. Vorax
When people made the older maps, Raven had not released the information on how to add bot support. Any new map, by any competent level of mapper should have bot support, if not don't bother downloading it, cuz it is probably a waste of HD space anyways. - Vorax
