Zendjir Posted May 27, 2002 Posted May 27, 2002 Not patriotism, just a honerable thanx from someone who knows what the world might have been without their sacrafice. I honor them all, thanks you all. Oh, this post was a bit late, but better late than never
gavor Posted May 28, 2002 Posted May 28, 2002 ANZAC day was a month ago, Rememberance day isn't till November.
JekRendar Posted May 28, 2002 Posted May 28, 2002 I hope HeadHunter is American, because I don't want to be the only one! I also (before this day is done) would like to salute all the veterans of the United States Armed Forces!
OHeadHunterO Posted May 28, 2002 Author Posted May 28, 2002 Yup American..ANZAC and Rememberance Day (11 November if I remember right) are good Holidays as well..but Since I am in the US Air Force, I am kinda partial to our own nations day of rememberance - Memorial Day... gavor Posted May 29, 2002 Posted May 29, 2002 I'll add my little salute to all the US servicemen and women who've had to fight for what we believe in. A personal thanks to the US marines who assisted us Aussies in New Guinea during WWII. I don't think many Australians realise how close we came to being invaded by the Japanese, and what our US allies did to help out. Good memory HH, Remembrance day is November 11. 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. We shall remember them.
