VyperBlade Posted May 30, 2002 Posted May 30, 2002 Hey guys, i have some questions about how this model and skin will work. Yoda is REAL short right? So will he be hovering 3 feet in the air, or will he big REAL big ? Just a few questions, i was curious. ROCK ON, YODA IS the SHIAT!!! Thanks Guys

xEBCxNess Posted May 30, 2002 Posted May 30, 2002 damn teasers! it gets on my nerves that i need to play as yoda! Ever since i started playing multiplayer ive been looking for a yoda skin. they didnt have any. now i know its in the making, which gets my hopes up. but i really wanna be able to play as him now! lol. after seeing Attack of the Clones, Yoda has been so tight. he is the man. In episode I, V, and VI he was cool. but in II he is awesome!!! I cant wait to be able to control those awesome moves and light saber tactics. Yoda will rule all JKII duels!
Rellimct Posted May 30, 2002 Posted May 30, 2002 Tis' a model naught a skin, and i would like to know how you can import models from a program like 3d studio max into JKII?
kenad Posted May 30, 2002 Posted May 30, 2002 That looks Xcellent. I hope the skin is as good as the model! Keep up the good work...
DraxGoroth Posted May 30, 2002 Posted May 30, 2002 It looks really great... though I can't wait until I see the more smoothened model, and of course when it's skinned But already, it looks superb. Great work, and keep it up!
K.O Posted May 30, 2002 Posted May 30, 2002 That is GREAT stuff right there! Btw, Yoda rox, http://www.jediknightii.net will post on their news section when it's ready. Great model, keep up the good work. Can't wait to play with it. ^_^ And please tell us when it might be done.
Bush_D Posted May 30, 2002 Posted May 30, 2002 Very nice. I love yoda. I hope it'll finished as soon as possible.... http://www.fishclan.net (german!!!) I think my clan is happy when you've finished it.
Ki-Adi-Mundi Posted May 30, 2002 Posted May 30, 2002 Needs a bit of work. But good job so far! Here's to hoping that it turns out good! *Walks off muttering something about lag sabers, Jedi Knight and Pokemon skins*
DMH1085 Posted May 30, 2002 Posted May 30, 2002 Now if only he could hover or some other cool stuff After seeing yoda fight in episode 2, i cant wait D M H :
Tranixson Posted May 30, 2002 Posted May 30, 2002 That looks pretty good. When u think u be done with it?
Frumpus Posted May 30, 2002 Posted May 30, 2002 Cool! KNEW it, I did, that only a matter of time it would be ... before some one broke down and made a Yoda mod for JO. If knowledge of modelling/skinning I had, ME it would have been! To the question asked above, I second: How DOES a person import a model from, say 3D Studio MAX, and... 1) configure it so that the Quake III engine recognizes it as a character (not sure of term, "brush", . . dunno) 2) animate it to make it move like the other Jedi characters - so that it's not just a "statue"? 3) skin it to make it look good in the Quake engine? 4) find the time, patience, and know-how to do all this? I've ALWAYS wanted to try it, but never had the tools, time, or experience to do it. PATIENCE I have; DILIGENCE I have; TIME I now have; an ARTIST I am; the TOOLS . . . (I know not if I have); the WILL I have; Tips, anyone?
ScOrPiOn_37 Posted May 30, 2002 Posted May 30, 2002 Me little yoda.. No colour ehehe. I think its ok aint the best put it that way.
RiSeN Posted May 30, 2002 Posted May 30, 2002 Ok ive seen a lot of people ask.. "Is he going to hover over the ground" or something like that. Well i suggest u put him standing on his hover thingy u see him using in Episode 2 when he is talking to Windu & Kenobi.
Joseph_Swede Posted May 30, 2002 Posted May 30, 2002 When is the guy going to answer any of our posts? :vsd: :vsd:
Wiggin Posted May 31, 2002 Posted May 31, 2002 i don't think you need him to hover you could just make clear conection tubes connecting him to the normal hieght skeleton
