Sithcloak
Wow, so much for the idea of it starting in a few years. This article says that it will start in a few weeks. I don't trust the news too much, and that goes for this one too, but if it does happens I won't be overly suprised. Sithcloak
Zygomaticus
To me it looks like a campaign to clear out the pakistani terrorists who are illegally staying in Indian Kashmir. A violent campaign, for that matter. I wish Gandhi were here I must go there!
Sithcloak
Don't leave us in peaceful california! Are you really going back to india? Do they have good internet speed there? Sithcloak
Zygomaticus
naaw i'm not going there..maybe next year for vacation only...but i still haven't decided my final settle down place...whereever that is i'll decide after college, and all my future studying is in america The most commonly used internet speed in India is a 28k thats what everyone has. Other places there is 56k and ISDN but there aren't phone lines that fast and they are grosely expensive/ But now i think in some places they offer cheap cable services. Crazy_dog no.3
Now I don't wanna go back to the old days, but the Great Wall and the Berlin wall were both quite succesful. Maybe a powerful nation like US, UK, France, etc. should build a line of fortifications to stop any army moving backwards and forwards.
Heavyarms
no walls, CD. That would not be good because that is rather inhumane to do. Also, what is likely to happen in india and Pakistan: 1. India goes after terrorists in Kashmir. 2. Some Pakistani civilians are killed, either on purpose or by accident. 3. Pakistan retaliates by attacking some military installation or bombs a city. 4. POSSIBLY, one of the countries grabs a a-bomb and plans to use it. (Could happen any time here) A terrorist faction uses a a-bomb on either country (There are hindu extremists)

India isn't the US, they aren't in some "War on Terrorism", besides, most of the conflict seems to be conventional warfare, for now 2. Some Pakistani civilians are killed, either on purpose or by accident. Since they're in Kashmir TECHNICLY It would be Indian, 3. Pakistan retaliates by attacking some military installation or bombs a city. Where thats NOT in Kashmir could that happen? Pakistan isn't exactly a Military Power. And since Pakistan would be soooo concered about Kashmir... 4. POSSIBLY, one of the countries grabs a a-bomb and plans to use it. I doubt anyone thats not insane or reading too much Tom Clancy wouldn't resort to that after ONE attack. (Could happen any time here) A terrorist faction uses a a-bomb on either country (There are hindu extremists) There are also Muslim, Jewish, Christian, Bhuddist, Scientologist, and Cultist based fanatics out there too ya know? Why pick on the poor Hindus
Heavyarms
sorry if is seemed like I was picking on them. Also, it couldn't be that some of the leaders of both countries want to have war?
Zygomaticus
Clefo, that was one of the wisest things i heard you say!!! In my opinion, neither country is stupid enough to pick up a bomb and start full scale battle. It will only be minor boundary attacks that sometimes get bigger. It will mostly be between soldiers. Neither country is foolish enough to bomb a city with civilians. It would make them an international outcast, and noone would do trade with them or anything of the sort. Nowadays' worlds biggest problem are terrorists who dont really belong to any country. The days when countries went to war to gain territory and world domination are over, at least i think so. Its only the extremists that are the prob. So if any bombing is done it will be by either Indian or Pakistani terrorists (since i say terrorists dont belong to countries lets just say that these people want good to come to their home country) (so an indian terrorist would be one who does something to the opponent because he loves india and he can't think of a better way to work things out or he doesn't trust the work of the Big Guys) And yes india WILL go after terrorists in Pak. And as clefo said they are technicly Indian citizens, but also not so. Many of them are people from Pak wanting to live in Jammu And Kashmir and are there just cuz they pushed out the original indian inhabitants. So many of them are there without VISAs And about the Hinduism part (i just HAVE to comment there, please take no offence) Although all religions preach peace and loving of all people many of the wars that Christians and Muslims have been fought "in the name of god" "for control of holy lands" Which is very unnecessary. It isn't wrong to spread religions but just so you know, Hinduism is one of the few religions that left it to the people. They never had missionaries, they never had Holy Wars, nothing of the sort. Hindu extremists are only result of Islamic Actions. Despite Mohammad (sp?) (the islamic prophet) being a violent man, in the end, Islam also preached peace. But people like Bin Ladin and the other Islamic extremist leaders claim that they are doing what they are doing in the name of god. Thats bull, IMO. Recently a train full of Hindu women, children and old men was burnt, yes burnt by Muslim extremists shouting the name "allah" as they did it. There were ~56 hindus killed. I wouldn't have recommended it but the Hindu families affected were so horrified and angered that they burnt a Muslim area killing 100+ people. Voilence breads violence. Or as Nehru said: An eye for an eye To which one of the greatest Indian leaders, Gandhi said: If they take an eye for an eye, the whole world will become blind Force long post!! This is fine print, please do not read, if you want your eyes to be safe stop reading....i said stop, why are you still going?
