The Jedi Battle Cry

In an early draft of Star Wars, the Jedi used a "battle yell" before they charged into battle, a cry fierce enough to frighten even the hardest warrior. Now, in AOTC, when Yoda attacks Dooku, he lets out what sounds like a battle cry, and it lasts until he jumps onto the ledge. I wonder if this is something Yoda does to get pumped up for battle, or if it's a lost Jedi art that will resurface in E3.

Quite possible... that's also a (real) meditation technique for focusing energy. (S'why many people practicing karate will shout right as they make a strike). Has the combined effect of occasionally freaking out your opponent when he least expects it.

It also has the added effect of tightening your stomach muscles so that if your opponent does get a lucky hit on your stomach, it doesn't hurt as bad. We also shout (kiai) when we go into left fighting stance (hidari hanmi gamae). Trust me, I started doing Karate when I was 15 and I'm 32 now. As any exponent of this martial art will tell you, "We know some sh*t."
