Other than the game CD, you really don't need anything. Depending on what version you want to play, you will need a v1.03 patch if you want to play the current version. Kurgan Posted June 5, 2002 Share Posted June 5, 2002 Once you've started up, I suggest a quick trip over to Outcast Strategy (linked from the main page in the list of hosted sites). ; ) Granted, some things have changed with the new 1.03 patch, but for the most part, that should be all you need to get started, after you've read over the game's manual and readme documentation. Twins of Doom Posted June 6, 2002 Share Posted June 6, 2002 read the manual first, it's so annoying to see people asking stuff that's in the manual then read the readme (if you want, not much useful stuff there though) then read some posts here go to my site and read the tips and tricks page (http://jkhq.ath.cx/tips.php) maybe read artifex's guides....some of them are kinda cheap and don't help though (heavy stance does NOT block all...i've tried that soo many times and died every time, etc) and the rest just takes practice...maybe join a clan (clan servers are usually good servers to play on because people are willing to help and there is more good players....maybe look for a rookie or newbie server though if your just beginning and i'd suggest you beat single player if you haven't already and the main thing: practice Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
