VIO
ok i've notice that in many threads people ask question concerning their map and get answear back that don't work. Why! Because many times ppl give answears for single player maps when the person is making a multiplayer map so a day can be wasted trying and testing info that won't work because the ppl arn't sure what map the other person is making. SO i propose that before each thread's question theauthor should put this little tag (or something like it) Map type1 Map type2 program being used any other info ----------------------------- post here's an example. MP DUEL JKIIRADIANT here's a screenie ------------------------------------- i can't get my bottons to dance granted this might be a bit of work but the tpe of map and program should really be put in if lazy you could just do this MP Gtk my bottons are purple THIS WOULD HELP ALOT EVEN IF YOU DON"T DO THIS PLEASE MENTION THIS INFO IN YOUR POSTS thx -VIO
Vitigis
How's about comming up with a GAMMA standard for making maps..... Everyone has different settings they use in JO as well as for their monitors brightness....so what's dark to one, may be too bright for another. Anyone remember IDGamma? the old gamma standard for Quake 1? I'd LOVE to see that.

alienprotein
I would like to know the limitations of each. MP, and SP? Once we know what we can do in one, and not the other. Then we can figure out how to make a standard for each. Maybe Start separate threads for each?
VIO
knowing the differences in the maps isn't wat were saying you should put what type of map at the top of your post so people know what what of thing they should tell the other person. im not sure were you can find a list of the differences though. keep this thread alive!!!! atinymonkey
IDGamma existed to balance the game on multiple platforms. That is to say, PC and Mac users. It will probably only be utilsed again if the game has another release over muliple platforms and is created for Multiplayer (like Quake 3 might be). Nice idea though. Say it on enough threads and perhaps developers will notice.

angelDP
If only people read/used things like this *rolls eyes* There should be an admishions test for the mapping forum LOL "You want to post about a party you were jsut at, so you should" A: Find a random post to put it in as a reply. B: Not post it. C: Make a new topic about it, including large bmp's of the party. D: Send a fax to lucasforums.com. If you have trouble making glass, you should: A: Make a coherent post about your problem, following guidlines listed in VIO's sticky thread, after you have have signed a release form stating you have read and memorized the rules. B: P0ST IN ALL KAPS AN BAD SPELLZORING WITH A RANDOM TOPIC NA<E!!!!111 C: Bump Cmdr. Antilles WIP thread, asking the intellignet board members there for help. D: Go to a pottery class and learn the correct method. *grin* I have such great ideas...
fabrikashon
There is a gamma standard, go into the game - in options, theres an 'adjust the brightness till the 6 is barely visible'. No matter what brightness your monitor is at, if you can't see the 6, you can't see the 6 so its an all round thing.
Altus_Thrawn
Sometimes I try to play multiplayer on certain maps (like jedicouncilfloortria) or something like that, and I don't have the map. Where can I get these maps?
