Now start a server with cheats (type "devmap ffa_bespin" for example in the console) and use the g button to change the angle. If you don't want the script you can use the command cg_thirdpersonangle value to set your viewangle yourself. then press d (or your assigned button) to make the screenshot or use the "screenshot silent" command in the console. ok, and after I did everything to keep this thread alove when will you release the sabers?
ALIEN_JL Posted June 16, 2002 Posted June 16, 2002 Blades are almost ready... only thing which i don't like about them yet is the root (how it goes in to that hilt) Blur seems to be ready now (it is not perfect... it looks a bit different dependending of the direction where i am looking or where i am in the map or...) but overally it looks pretty good (during game... during battle it looks better than in that screenshot because you can't see it so clearly when it is moving soo fast..) ----------------------------------------------------------------------- And if you guys have noticed in movies there are flash and some sparks when two sabers first touch each other BUT in JK2 that flash is stronger and it remains as long as those sabers are together (saber lock) Soo i changed that... -----------------------------------------------------------------------

Garik Loran Posted June 17, 2002 Posted June 17, 2002 I had some time this afternoon, and I made some sabers myself. I tried to make them like the sabers from Episode 1. The trail is shorter and only on the upper end. Just look at this and tell me what you think.
Tchouky Posted June 17, 2002 Posted June 17, 2002 wel talking about sabers : I got my extendable sabers to work properly ! server side and client side ! the legth is taken in acout when calcuating if a player is hit . the bots may have one too. and the saber emits sound when you activate the blade. you sabers are great by the way !

My sabers are not to replace yours, I just saw Ep1 on DVD and thought I try to make sabers that look like in Ep1, and my first shot was a good one. But I am not really satisfied with the trail yet, you know what I mean The image quality is so bad because I wanted such a large screenie not too big in filesize so it's loaded in accurate time. Ok, and about your new blue saber: The core is looking great, but I think it needs more glow. The glow is so small, you even see the circles at the bottom of the blade. I used this snapshot as reference. I think I should work on the blue again.

Garik, where could I download your sabers, and also it looks like they have custom hilts. Can I download the hilts as well?
