griffse
Is there a way for me to launch my Linux server remotely with a Win XP machine?
MatrixCPA
Sure, log in via telnet and fire it up.

You don't want anyone finding out your user or root password. if your using windows on the client pc try this program for SSH. http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/ if not most linux distros have SSH clients already. NerfYoda
Nearly every method of remote login out there is insecure. It's still a good point to install an SSH server on your box though.
