EmperorJello
Basically I'm trying to use the JediF skin for Kyle. Editing the npcs.cfg file seems to change Kyle to the JediF in the cutscences, but has no effect on SP. So I make myself a new .pk3 file from Jan, and can now use Jan to replace Kyle in SP. My problem is that my .surf files don't seem to work in SP--and others seem to be having the same problems. I've tried removing the vest, spurs... etc. in SP by editing the model_default.skin and replacing the directory of the unwanted surfaces with 'nodraw', but I don't know how to add the things I need like 'torso_augment'. Any help would be appriciated. Thanks.

Prime
You need to move the surfOn/surfOff lists into the npcs.cfg from the .surf file. An example of this is done with the JediF entry in npcs.cfg. There are sorfOn/Off entries there. Just take what you had in your .surf file and move it to the entry in npcs.cfg for the model you are trying to change. Hope that helps. EmperorJello
Nope, that only effects npcs, or the player character in cutscenes. It doesn't effect the character you play with.

EmperorJello
Eh, spelling error on my last post. I meant 'affects' rather than 'effects'. Anyways... Clostermann is correct. The npcs.cfg doesn't seem to affect the PC, just the NPCs.
