MotionMan
Ya that sucks HellFyre:( I just pray to god that he doesnt die at the hands of a young bobba. Thats would just kill it for me! I mean Mace is a badass Jedi Master. If he gets taken out by a damn teeenage wanabe bounty hunter I would be GREATLY disapointed.

AgentSmith
Ep2Anakin (or Ani ), actually you see Aayla in multiple scenes and she's only seen briefly in the Arena fight while she's actually fighting. First off I disagree to saying that her survival of the Arena fight says nothing of her Jedi powers or skills. Out of the nearly 200 Jedi Knights and Padawans at the Arena only a small 10-20 survive, most of those being the Jedi Masters from the Jedi Council (Mace Windu, Plo Koon, Shaak Ti), exceptionally skilled Jedi Knights (Luminara Unduli, Obi-Wan Kenobi) or exceptionally skilled Padawans (Anakin Skywalker, Barriss Offee). Seeing Aayla Secura is one of those survivors, while so many other powerful jedi Knights and padawans died I think that says something of her skills and powers, with so many battledroids luck isn't a factor. Second, if you check her background and what is known about Aayla you'd know that she lost her memory while on mission with her then Jedi Master Quinlan Vos, only painfully regained it and during that ordeal -accidentally- killed her own uncle Pol Secura (he was a bad guy anyways, he had robbed her and Quinlan Vos of their memory with drugs). She even strayed closely to the Dark Side when she was lured by a vampiric Dark Jedi and made to fight her own Jedi Master Quinlan Vos. After that the Jedi Council decreed she would receive a new master, Jedi Tholme. In the latest Dark Horse comic (where the character originated) she must rescue Jedi Master Tholme from Morgukai assassins while on the verge of graduating from Padawan to full Jedi Knight. Anyhow, she's a damn fine babe and a kick ass one at that too!
Zindell
All jedi must die. So it was decreed. Even If she goes into hiding i'm sure Vader will track her down.
Weapon X
i don't read EU, it's not real star wars TO ME, TO ME it's just a ploy for those companies to make money off of a name that so many people have come to love, the movies are real deal, not EU, and movie based books/games etc. that follow the same basic story line
AgentSmith
Your loss. So anyways what you're saying is that since you didn't see Aayla Secura fight in the movie she's just a lame character and not bad ass? Taking this as your 'logical' mode of thoughts regarding Star Wars characters, how their 'bad ass' factor is proportionate to what and how they fight in the movies you can only think and have thought that: - Mace Windu was a lamer in EP I, he didn't fight anybody, was not a bad ass. --> Off course he did in EP II so now he's a bad ass and cool dude. - Yoda was a lamer in EP V,VI and I, he didn't fight in those, he wasn't bad ass. (Yeah he lifted an X-wing but still you're talking bad ass as in fighting skills so.) --> Off course he did in EP II so now he's a bad ass and cool lil' dude. And I can go on and on based on your thought pattern, which you stated in your posts about the characters. I happen to like many EU things. You can think what you want about that, but I don't care. If I want to like it, I will. If I'm an Aayla Secura fan cause I think it's a great character, it's because I want to. Actually, now that I look at your posts ... you whine like Anakin! P.S. : Following your mode of thought, if in Episode III Aayla Secura would actively fight or even win a battle she'd be a bad ass then. But just not now yet cause she hasn't yet. Mhhh... you're a lil' freak aren't you? Totally illogical thoughts.
Weapon X
i didn't think mace windu was all that badass in ep1, in V & VI yoda had logic and had some comical parts, that's why i liked him then, alls mace did was boss obi-wan and qui-gon around AND he was a minor character in there, in ep2 he played a bigger role and we got to see him show his skills (not just fighting) in ep2, yoda saved every single remaining jedi that's why he's a badass, so if your gonna say i "whine" because i stated MY OPINION (look at the words that are in ALL CAPS) by saying i personally don't see why people like ayla secura then your pathetic, because your badmouthing other people for stating their opinion about a fictional character, to me, saying ayla was a badass was just like saying adi gallia was a badass
Weapon X
my loss for not giving more money-grubbing companies my money? if i'm gonna give my money to a company it's gonna be for the ORIGINAL idea, not "star wars expanded universe: introducing COMPLETELY new characters with maybe one or two mentions of the original ones, OR taking the characters you love and killing them off/making them do everything to try to contradict what george lucas put in the movies" and where was my post that says a character only becomes badass when he/she kicks ass? hell i loved boba fett and it never showed him killing anybody OR kicking ass, think before you put words into people's mouths
AgentSmith
I'm not dissing your opinion man, it just doesn't really have any logic. I think your view on the characters and movies is askew. But then again everything depends on your point of view, and that's usually personal and different for everyone. And dude, chill out man. You're gonna pop a vein or something. Your posts are always dead seriuos, no smileys, full of caps. To me that's like you're shouting and pissed off. Didn't you notice the smileys I put in my post and after the sentence about whining? Laughing smiley and tongue stuck out smiley means that I'm joking or just being funny, teasing. To me your posts come over as someone who's very sour and full of angst. Almost makes me sad. I don't focus on the negative, at the least I try not to. So cheer up, spread a smile and not a frown. If you want to think I'm pathetic, go ahead. I don't care. The fact you exist or think something about me doesn't really affect me. Why would it? You don't even know me. What you say though and how seriuos and all you put it gives me the impression you're an angry person though. No passion but just anger, negativity, ... AgentSmith
Most companies are about money-grubbing man. It's the sad truth of the world. But have you ever thought that maybe most of the writers, artist that work on the EU books, comics are Star Wars fans and lovers who just took their passion to the next level by adding a dimension of their own to Star Wars? (I doubt they're all after the money because most of them aren't filthy rich from it.) I love Star Wars, almost everythign about it, including the EU. As matter of fact it inspires me to realize ideas and dreams about Star Wars by putting them on paper. (Actually pc but hey. ) I'm making my own little fan fiction story. It's nothing much, it's probably not even any good but it's a sign of how Star Wars touches and inspires me and how I become a part of the entire Star Wars Universe, as most fans are. It's not about money, it's not about people reading my work (as matter of fact no one can or has to, I have no aspirations for recognition whatsoever) it's just about the passion for Star Wars. Are you sure that's not something you lost along the way somehow? Cause man you just sound angry and aggrevated all the time.
mez1109
Are the Kyle Katarn episodes EU too? I really don't know, I just saw a short comic strip in the Offical Star Wars Magazine of 1997 (I only wanted the colour art prints from the old star wars), it was called Star Wars Shadow Stalker. The comic was very unstarwarsy (new word), Vader had red eyes and it was much darker then the original stuff, more like a X-Men comic.
AgentSmith
Kyle Katarn and his adventures in the Dark Forces, Jedi Knight games and comics are considered to be Star Wars Expanded Universe (EU) yes.
mez1109
Thank you. Still I want EP3 to be rated 15 minimum, but prefer 18. There is more bloodshed in Jedi Knight 2, using a cheat to mutilate Storm Troopers (no blood just sithered limbs with burn marks), so I hope that Lucas puts as much bloodshed as in the other SW series. If Jedi had saber wounds, as their cloths never rip or get dirty in SW2, but Padme bleeding in the arena is enough violance for Star Wars.
Phillio
ep2 Anakin, there is some place called the library! Then, you can read the books without paying "money-grubbing comapnies".
Weapon X
i live in the **** hole of america (in atlas see wyoming) and even IF our library had them i'd still have to pay to check them out so i would still have to pay some money grubbing company! it makes me at how poor my town/state is
Phillio
wow......ive NEVER seen a library that makes you pay for the books you borrow............
AgentSmith
Now we see where his anger comes from. Much anger and fear I sense in you. (In the libraries here you have to pay like maybe 5$ tops for a year -or one time only- subscription and you can check out books and all at no cost or fee. (If you return them late you get fined off course, but that's understandable.)
Weapon X
hell i never go to the library anymore (guess why?) and even when i have to i get in and out as quick as possible (i don't like the old women that work there, but maybe if they were beautiful nice women...) but anyway why should i read books if i can just see the movie? aren't they the exact same?
