mez1109
Now everyone knows that C3PO is a man, not because of the actor who plays him, but because of his voice. But R2D2 make beeping sounds, so those R2D2 have a Gender? Stupid question, but I still want to know. The only good thing abouth C3PO and R2D2 is, that Evryone including the Jedis age and die, while they live forever. Having seen all those battles, but for some reason they don't seem to recognise Anakin.
ET Warrior
R2 is a droid, droids don't have genders.... And the topic of them forgetting anakin has been covered before
mez1109
C3P0 is a Droid, but is represented as a man.
ET Warrior
Well he has to have personality or his character is almost worthless, so we have to use a human voice, and since there aren't really gender neutral human voices out there........but since you seem to think it actually matters.....R2 is a guy
mez1109
LOL Let off some steam, do you try to kill everybody that just makes a thread or point. Don't like what I say, ignore me, but you seem to be bad mouthing every Subject Posted by me, and the people that agree with some of my points. Mega Man is also as bad as you, this is a Forum for ALL, a Geschtapo SS Commando sent by Hitler aint needed to control all members.
Norin Radd
C-3PO is a protocol droid, therefore he is programmed to interact with humans on a certain level. Consequently his programming gives him more of an artificial personality. R2-D2 is a repair/maintenance droid. He is not required to interface with humans or other sentient beings, just computers. Therefore he is given a gender neutral personality. As far as the droids not remembering? Their memories were erased at some point in time, probably to protect Padme and her children. mez1109
Funnily enough R2D2 is better with humans and humenoids then C3P0, Oh, and much braver.
Kryllith
That's because C3PO has his "wussy" setting cranked up in order to better serve humans. He IS a protocol droid after all; it wouldn't do if he didn't act subserviant and submissive. Artoo's designed to hop in the back of a fighter and go flying into the middle of battle, so naturally he'd be braver. Kryllith
oninosensi
The question of gender could be answered by Yoda: "do, or do not..." DO they do? if not, they are genderless... Just my two bits
ET Warrior
DO they do? if not, they are genderless... I have no idea what that post means.......... Funnily enough R2D2 is better with humans and humenoids then C3P0 R2 is better around people who enjoy battle and excitement, because he's not such a prissy droid like C3PO. however 3PO would be better around rich snobs who are afraid of adventure, which is basically what he was designed for. LOL. I like the comedy element that the 2 droids bring to the flicks. C3P0 is always saying crap like "oh my goodness", "Wait R2", "Its too dangerous", . Its funny to see this Well manered droid getting pulled into battle like situations by R2.
ET Warrior
Is quite humorous......poor stupid protocol droid.......all he wants is a simple, unexciting life........
Uber Sith
Hmmm if we treated droids like cars we would hear luke say "here betsie" refering to R2 lol
Sgt.BF
Apparently, in the origional script, r2 and c3p0 spend the whole of the last battle scene in the ship, with threepio saying stuff like: 'I wonder where they are, they've been gone a very long time', and 'no, I didn't hear anything, stop trying to scare me, artoo', which I reckon is fricking hilarious. Unfourtunately, daniels wanted a bigger part, so they added the conveyor belt scene and his bad puns during the battle. Such a shame...
mez1109
Why did I put this Thread up, I must have been on something. No silly replies on what I was on. Everytime someone says that people post those replies anyway. To the point, correcting myself, C3PO is designed to better designed for rich snobs, even though this was not Anakin's original idea. Still even though R2D2 goes into the most dangerous places, C3PO still follows him, so he can't be so much of a wussy, just a complainer.
Lionen
Who programmed him like that then? I mean, next time he is seen, at the Lars moisture farm, he is a wussy... that must mean that Schmi or someone of the Lars´es has programmed him like that:confused:

Jaster21801
I got it too.... I haven't heard it referred to "doing" since like Middle School or something... Come on people, put your minds in the gutter... then you know what he's saying.... Droids obviously don't do at least one thing that ALL humans are capable of doing... what is it???
