AgentSmith
A stretch? Depends on the gender I think? If the droids did have a gender you could get scenes like this: *R2D2 rolls against a fallen battledroid and starts pushing against its back in a bobbing fashion.* C3PO: R2D2! Stop humping the deactivated battledroid! While it works in Austin Powers it might not be good for Star Wars.

LOL, R2 will be humping battle droids and c3po would say things like: "Oh my look at that Super Battle droid hunk"
AgentSmith
Yeah sometimes you do get that vibe from C3PO. As Marvin Webster said it seems C3PO's running on AC and DC if you know what I mean. (Not trying to diss Anthony Daniels here, I think he performs admirably and often under adverse conditions. Imagine being in such a restricting outfit in the scorching sun like for ANH? Plus hey, more than 10 years go by and the guy still fits the costume! )
MotionMan
Hey, I like R2D2 and C3po. They are droids. Not female or male. Just droids. Funny droids in my opinion.
AgentSmith
I know, they have their funny moments indeed. I myself don't 'genderize' them either, I just see them as droids as well without assigning them a gender.
