Bungalow Posted June 21, 2002 Posted June 21, 2002 Was Darth Maul and Vader Sith Knights? or Masters? cause Maul whupped a Jedi Master Qui Gon Jinn, and if he's only a Knight then thats pretty impressive
Obi-Doo Posted June 21, 2002 Posted June 21, 2002 They were sith padawans. The only sith master was Sidious/Palpantine. Remember that Qui-Gon used the living force. He was much better in the force than Maul, but Maul was specially trained in the hard double- sabering, wich made him a sligthly more dangerous opponent.

Kit fisto JK Posted June 21, 2002 Posted June 21, 2002 white dragon and bungalow if you would watch the movies then you would both see that Darth sidious calls Darth Maul his apprentice. And if my memory serves me corectly Darth Vader/anakin is also his apprentice.
Zindell Posted June 21, 2002 Posted June 21, 2002 Yes he is, at any time there is only a master and an apprentice. Sidious being the master Maul/Tyrannus(Dooku)/Vader being the apprentice.
BlackDove Posted June 21, 2002 Posted June 21, 2002 Maul was a Lord Vader was a Lord Tyranus was a Lord Emperor was a Master Yoda is a Master Windu is a Master Qui-Gon is a Knight etc.etc. My conclusion that Lord=Knight, Master=Master

Zindell Posted June 21, 2002 Posted June 21, 2002 Yes he was a knight, but still an apprentice knight the way the sith system works. My post was not clear it was just pointing out that in no way were they a master, therefore making them the alternative a Knight.
whitedragon Posted June 21, 2002 Posted June 21, 2002 its a good book he dose 10x more cool **** than in the movie
Zindell Posted June 21, 2002 Posted June 21, 2002 I believe it's about Darth Maul. Hence the Title Darth Maul Shadow Hunter. Maybe He hunts shadows. I have no clue.
BlackDove Posted June 21, 2002 Posted June 21, 2002 He is actually a shadow...well he operates like one...thats why he was glad to "reveal" himself finally...
Zindell Posted June 21, 2002 Posted June 21, 2002 It's a good book though. I've been wanting to get into the EU but I have no clue where to start.
BlackDove Posted June 21, 2002 Posted June 21, 2002 In EU, Chewie is the main bad guy (I heard it somewhere, may not be true tho)...I just dread at the though...
MasterD-LeyAmas Posted June 21, 2002 Posted June 21, 2002 If you guys want to read up on the EU, do as I did, go to http://www.starwars.com. I have only read three of the actual books, but starwars.com has the gist of everything that goes on in it. Just go to the databank section, pick a character, any character, and start reading under the "Extended Universe" tab. They also have a section exclusively for the EU characters. As for the Sith titles, I believe they don't use the same titles as Jedi, mainly because after the downfall of the sith 1000 years before Ep1, the last remaining Sith, called Darth Bane, made a rule that at any given time, there would only be one Sith apprentice and one Sith master, so that the the Sith could not only stay a secret, but so that there wouldn't be any battles between themselves for power, as this is what caused the first downfall of the Sith. Their only real titles are "Master" and "Apprentice", but they all refer to themselves and fellow Sith as "Lords", I suppose because they believe they are destined to rule the universe.

Ryaken For Posted June 21, 2002 Posted June 21, 2002 Originally posted by =SSC=Kal-El Qui-Gon is a Knight Um...no. He was a Jedi Master.
Lime-Light Posted June 21, 2002 Posted June 21, 2002 Does that matter? And whitedragon, Zindell was talking about you being the ******* newb. Qui Gon was a loser, thats why he got wasted. His padawan beat the guy who killed him, how pathetic is that (he was using his anger, but still)?
BlackDove Posted June 21, 2002 Posted June 21, 2002 That only shows how Maul was strong...Kenobi had to use his dark side abilities to "SURPRISE" Maul...Maul did beat him, but he didn't expect that jump...
