Give it a shot and report here please. You can't always counter backstab sweeps. And it's like this: What if you bought the best car racing game ever made and you were overjoyed. But someone realized you can actually go faster driving backwards. So suddenly a bunch of people on the server are driving really fast backwards with their rear view mirrors - ramming other people's front ends. Doesn't it simply look stupid? Supposedly this mod only reduces the backstab, that's it, 1.04/1.03a do a lot more than just that. This mod is not 1.03a or 1.04 compiled. Please stop saying this is something it is not, until you fully test it. That's why I posted here - to ask people to test it out. Is that a problem for you? Ten Tigers Posted June 23, 2002 Share Posted June 23, 2002 I have mixed feelings about it. Yes it is effective against "assfighters", but I think the loss is worse than the gain. First you still have people who will abuse the pull/sweep, not that the pull/sweep cant be avoided, but it still doesnt solve it. And secondly, I like the ability to adjust the backstab. If I could actually look behind me to aim, I would never have to correct the swing as much, and If I were a Jedi, I wouldnt have to look behind me at all, I would be naturally accurate. But since neither case is true, the only saving grace is to make last second adjustments to your swing. But unfortunately some people just cant leave well enough alone. "Oh, oh, look! A loophole! Now I wont suck anymore!". So naturaly you will get the jackass who cranks his mouse sensitivity up so he can spin like mad and hit 3,4,5 times with the same backstab, and basicly ruins the true value of the move for everyone. This causes people to bitch about an otherwise decent move, and it gets nerfed to uselessness... I dont think this game needs another patch, I think half the people playing it do...
