Another thing also bugs me... Many of you are saying that because leia recounts to luke the memories of her mother that Padme must survive to the end of episode 3 and beyond for leia to grow up under her care!!! You must try to remember that Leia was adopted by bail Organa and his wife so it IS feasible that Padme dies in Episode 3 which could be the catalyst for turning anakin over to the dark side...

This is from Leia's biography on the SW official site:

It was common knowledge throughout the court that Leia was adopted into the Royal Family. What wasn't common knowledge was that Leia was born to Anakin Skywalker, a Jedi pupil who succumbed to the dark side and became Darth Vader. She was one of a set of twins, born in secrecy and protected from Vader and the Emperor. The Jedi hero and general, Obi-Wan Kenobi, secretly transported Leia and her mother to the planet Alderaan, where she was to be raised by Kenobi's friend Bail Organa. The boy, Luke, was taken to the distant world of Tatooine. Leia has few memories of her true mother, Padmé Amidala. All that Leia can recall is that she was beautiful, but sad.

There you have it. From George Lucas' mouth to your. . .eyes. :D

Anakin betrays and is key to killing off the Jedi (as stated in Episode IV and VI). But does Anakin actually kill of a specific Jedi like Mace?

Sith will kill off most of the Jedi in a space born attack, where their light sabers will be little defense. Maybe they'll be tricked into going to a certain place and attacked by the "republic" forces.

A few will survive, like Obi-Wan, Anakin, Yoda. Mace probably survives too. At this point, the Mace will go after Dooku and die at Dooku's hands. Hopefully the longest & coolest LS duel in SW history, only to be surpassed later in the movie between Obi-Wan's and Anakin's duel.

Anakin will go after Dooku and just like Luke/Vader, Palp will use Anakin's defeat of Dooku to complete his turn to the dark side (almost worked with Luke). THat's the tactic Palp tried with Luke and he'll do that with Anakin. Only when Anakin kills Dooku, he'll be turned to the dark side.

Man......it would suck hardcore if the Jedi died while all in one big spaceship that got blown up.........perhaps if they were all in Jedi Starfighters that would be acceptalbe.....but even there....i'd rather they go down in a big land battle....where we get to see them use their sabers.......

(But perhaps since RotJ had a huge spacebattle, we'll see one in ep 3, with Hundreds of Jedi in their starfighters....that might be excellent to see :D)

I would love to see a big space battle but not with Jedi pilots:(

I want to see lots and lots of saber fights damn it.

Anyhow I dont think the Jedi will die because they are all in one building that gets blown up or on a big spaceship or whatever. Lucas has to at least give us a few good saber fights. I mean it is his last SW movie. So he will not dissapoint!

The question is, how will they die? I'm thinking the Jedi have to go out sabers flashing, Aayla looking gorgoeus and blue as she swings her saber around at the enemy. Since there are only 2 Sith Lords, we know an army of Sith will not attack the Jedi Temple.

I read on the official site, that Dooku has a large role in the early purge and then later Anakin/Vader. Are we going to see the Jedi all die or just a few to show the purge has begun?

Totally true, there are not may Sith, that is the reason the clone army was created in the first place.

The only thing I don't understand, is we have the Jedi, the Sith and the Clone Army, where are the other people who live in the galaxy.

There are only a few Clones, even fewer Jedis and two Sith, why would the people of the galaxy listen to them, the mejority won't let anyone just take their home over.

Unless the governments of all the planets make peace with the Empire, while there are only a few planets opposing the Empire and are branded rebels.

Well, since you admittedly fell asleep during AotC i will excuse you for not knowing why the clone army was created. The clone army is for the republic to battle the separatists. Jedi and clones are fighting on the same side. Clones are not killing Jedi. The other people in the galaxy are doing the same thing that all civilians do in times of war. They sit at home, doing what they normally do. This conflict really doesn't involve them directly, so they're just going about their business.

Well the edict of the Empire is to "sweep away the corruption and inefficiencies of the Old Republic". Since Palpatine has the Senate under control, I'm thinking that he will convince the Senators to convey to their worlds that this is the best way to administer government, by absolute dictatorship. Because the Republic has shown itself to be corrupt and disfunctional.:D

Yes, I know, but we all know what happens in SW3, all this is just an excuse to allow the existence of the clone army.

And how can the people not be effected by the Empire specially in SW3 onwards, when planets are attacked, civilians are killed etc.

Civilians were killed previously in EP1, but in EP1 Lord Sidious did not have much power then to take over the a whole planet.

If Palpetine is Sidious, then the whole attack on Naboo was also a trick to get full control of the council and of course more power.

To the point, the civilians WILL and HAVE been attacked because of this power struggle, and if there was no resistance, there be no rebels.

:DYou should know that ET Warrior, unless you fell asleep while watching every SW movie, or the Dark Side has clouded you judgment.:D

I know that the empire is oppresive, but what can the common man do against it? Very few people own their own starships, which make travelling off planet difficult, and if they fight, they are going up against well trained and battle hardened clone/stormtroopers. For most people it is a safer bet to simply stay at home, and not make any noise, and just go along with the empire. They're likely to live MUCH longer that way.
