You want more evidence eh?:)

OK remember in ROTJ:

Luke mind tricks Bib Fortuna into taking him to Jabba the Hut.

When Bib Tells Jabba about Luke, A furious Jaba tells Bib "You weak minded Fool"! Then he tells Luke "Your Mind tricks wont work on me".

motionman, that's exactly what I'm getting at! A lot of the aliens in the NT seem to be just funny looking humans. They behave like humans, not like aliens. Example: watto, trade federation guys, banking guys, jedi council, bos nas etc.

In the OT, aliens behaved like aliens. It's not a question of xenophobia, I don't dislike the idea of aliens, just the way they're being implemented in the new films.

Oh I know all of that.. I was just bringing up the possibility that a) Anakin was merely teasing Padme and b) that deleted scene I heard of exists.

Well in the NT the rupublic governs over the galaxy. They need representatives from all of the planets that are included in the republic. They just cant be racist and not treat everyone equal. Everyone either human, alien, male, female,Even half droid(like Wat Tambor-the guy from the techno union)is treated with respect. The alien races in the NT are inteligent beings just like us. Whats the problem of them behaving in a civilized fashion like humans? The republic is a huge sytem that is made up of beings of all kinds.

In the OT the republic is no more. Im guesing most of the aliens went back to their home worlds or dispersed over the galaxy. Plus they dont show Coruscant in the OT. Thats were humans and aliens live side by side. We dont see as many cause they dont really have a reason to be hanging aroung with the human population. In the republic everyone had to work together. Now they dont have to.

Ok, that's a better quote. I was mainly concerned with whether Jabba was able to resist because he was strong-minded or because it was a trait of the Hutts. This quote seems to imply the former. :)

I don't know that the aliens in the OT didn't behave just like humans. Granted, we couldn't understand a lot of what they were saying, but I'd bet you'll find human characteristics in most of them. Seems to me they generally did the same thing we might do (hang out in bars, play in a band, act as guards, perform grunt work, etc.)

Chewie acted very human like in the OT. And the Ewoks acted very similar to aboriginies you'd find out in rainforests and whatnot. So to say that the OT aliens acted differently is silly. They all acted like a normal group of humans in the Mos Eisley cantina....etc etc.

Sgt.BF, you act rather strangely and weird for an average human from my perspective. I sure as hell do not understand what you're thinking! (If you are thinking that is.)

So that must make you an alien then. :D:)

Let me just call MIB to get you shipped back fromt where you came. :p:lol:

There is nothing wrong with alien jedi, but it is true they have been seperated from humans in the OT. All humans speak english (called BASIC in books), and if they speak another language it is only to aliens. Aliens only sometimes speak BASIC. Also, why is it that there are so many more humans than aliens? Humans must have originally came from only one planet like every other species, but now there is enough to form the entire imperial army without aliens, not to mention most of the rebel alliance. Why is it that humans are fighting for the galaxy, a galaxy mostly populated by aliens?

I think that can be answered twofold:

- In the OT there were more humans than Aliens simply because it would have been too expensive, time consuming and complicated (for the audiences especially) if most characters would have been aliens. A more practical reason linked to real life constraints when making the movies.

- In the EU books it is said humans spread like 'wildfire' through the galaxy, being highly adaptive they were able to fan out, colonize, make settlements and just grow in numbers.

Also in the current EU books/comics a lot more characters are in fact aliens. (How many NJO Jedi's aren't Twi'lek? Oh yeah. :D ) :)

Yeah, the concept of humans spreading like "wildfire" is a rather common concept in fantasy. Stick humans as a relatively "new" race on a planet with a bunch of "old" races (like dwarves and elves) and eventually the humans end up pretty much equal or higher up on the pecking order. Generally the other races have more racial advantages (Elven magic and dwarven strength, for example) but the human ability to proliferate allows them to conpensate racial weakness with massed numbers. I wouldn't be surprised if it worked similarly with aliens...

Lol. :p

ET Warrior, we all know you're the one going round dressed like Plo Koon, with face mask, Jedi robes and everything! :p;)

And what's so wrong in dressing up your woman as Aayla Secura? I mean when I look at my woman, it's but natural, they're both beautiful, they kick ass, are sassy and look dead sexy even when they're mad and frown. ;) It's only about the lekku and blue skin.

So doesn't that more make me an open-minded person? Willing to see past color and alieness type thingy ... oh well .. and stuff ... mhh ... -insert good excuse here- ... :p

*Takes a stamp and stamps 'Obsessed Agent Freak' on his head.*

You all think that anyways so why bother? :p

But it takes a strong Jedi or Sith to withstand the Hutt Jedi's special move!

The Force Crusher!!! :p:lol:

(Actually in one of the NJO books Durga the Hutt fights off several Yuuzhan Vong warriors by crushing them with his tail. He was not a Jedi though.)

Why can't they make a better series of books or graphic novels, say "The New Sith Order", where Luke, Han, Leia, Lando, Jason and Jaina, Anakin, Mon Mothma, Admiral Ackbar, Wedge and all the new Jedi are killed in a sick, twisted show of the Dark Side by a ressurected Emperor Palpatine, Count Dooku, Darth Maul, Darth Bane and Exar Kun.

I would read it...

I CAN SEE THE FUTURE, AND THE FUTURE IS THE DARK SIDE!!!

Ok, now that he's stoned ... *Pulls the power plug on the holo-emitter.* Ah, peace, no more Holo-Sidious. :p;)
