BTW where did you get youir info from? I got mine from the Episode 2 Visual Dictionary. I believe it was something along the lines of "Oh great, the only woman in the galaxy and she just happens to be my sister." Therefore, Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan were not really prepared for the confrontation. as several people pointed out, the art of saber to saber combat had been seen as obsolete, since the Jedi believed themselves to be the only lightsaber wielders in the galaxy. Are the Sith better? No, but you have to look at their combat style and their training as compared to the Jedi. The Jedi are taught piece, harmony, balance. this comes through in their fighting style, which is defensive in nature, though they will certainly kill if they have to. The Sith are taught hate, aggression, overpowering of their adversary. This comes through in their saber style. They are driven by such hatred for the Jedi and the utter need to destroy them, that their aggrssive sabre style can overpower a Jedi who is not prepared. The double ended saber does take more training to become proficient with it, as I hopefully will become in the future(in a game, I mean). The double ended saber is designed for one purpose. To kill. You cannot just pick it up and use it like a normal saber. Unless you wish to disembowel yourself. Darth Maul was dominating both the Jedi, until that little mishap. Oh well. I will have to agree with others opinions on Luke. Against a bent on destruction Sith Lord like Darth Maul, Luke would have been the one tumbling down that shaft in two pieces. When she was stripped of her memories she ventured very close to the Dark Side and even attacked her own Jedi Master (she didn't remember who he was) with great hate, anger and strength. No doubt she could use both her Jedi traning, lightsaber skills and her experiences with the Dark Side to her advantage to defeat Maul. And yes, Aayla is a Twi'lek like Oola (Jabba's dancing girl in ROTJ), though Aayla is a blue Twi'lek off course. As a little girl she was to be sold a slave to a Hutt, by her own uncle no less. Only the timely presence of Jedi Master Tholme and his teenage Padawan Quinlan Vos led to young Aayla being tested and taken to the Jedi temple to become a Jedi. Quinlan rescued the young Aayla as he sensed through the Force that she was in trouble, during a battle with a wampa it is that same young Aayla that calmed Quinlan's mind through the Force and helped him reach his lightsaber. And Qui Gon loose ! Hmm. Ok, ok Maul has a double-bladed saber, but ... Obi-Wan almost used the dark-side in Episode I . See his hate, he fights with fast style ! And for Dooku it is very special . Dooku was a powerfull Jedi Master and when he was a dar-side user, his powers increased. Anakin is quite idiot and he was defeated very quickly. But, for Obi-Wan, i was VERY surprised ! As Dooku ! But you seriously underestimate her raw Force talent and potential, her training, her lightsaber skills and her past in having used Dark Side powers. She is a force to be reckoned with, beyond a shadow of a doubt. I see her ascending to the rank of Jedi Master and a seat on the Council with ease, as long as Yoda doesn't nag too much about her past ventures with the Dark Side. Its like saying a General can never be killed by a normal Private. By the way, Plo Koon might just get jiggy with Aayla, why not? Never say NO to someting you havn't tried yet. As no Star Wars based Aliens excist on this planet, I am hopeful that AgentSmith is a earth human, but he likes to bonk Aayla, so, Plo would do the same. I don't think when you look at the EU and movies, Plo has any interest in Aayla or vice versa. But I've seen some Jedi casting some mighty interesting and suspicious glances at each other. (E.g. Tholme and Tra'Saa, Mace Windu and Adi Gallia, Quinlan Vos and Aayla, ... mhhh ...
