Im sure you all have got this error before... but I cant fix mine for some reason... Ive done everything people say about this error... Ive updated my drives Ive made sure I have OpenGL compatible drives... all this fun stuff... Heck I even looked all night for the very same driver they used for testing... but It still wont go away... I have a supported card but Its driving me nuts... Lucas Arts wont help... Nividia wont help... Asus wont help... the people that make OPENGL wont even help... Okay... Here is what I have... Asus V7700 GeForce2 GTS with Nividia GeForce2 GTS chip set Im using this driver nvdisp.drv and version 4.13.01.2942 According to Lucas Arts it should be working... but its not... Jason187 Posted June 27, 2002 Share Posted June 27, 2002 Well I used to get an error like that. Perhaps not the same, but it involved the OpenGL subsystem not loading, like yours. What I did was change my machine to use full hardware acceleration. It solved the problem for me, so that would be the first thing I would do. I haven't used Windows ME, but I'll try to explain roughly what to do. Get into your Control Panel, then open Display, then open the settings tab, click the Advanced button in the lower right corner, then open the troubleshoot tab, and then you'll see the hardware acceleration slider. Crank it up to maximum (right). (Control Panel -> Display -> Settings -> Advanced -> Troubleshoot -> Acceleration slider) Try that out. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Camus Posted June 27, 2002 Author Share Posted June 27, 2002 Thanks Jason for trying but its already up there... It was a nice try... but the problem still accours... I have a feeling I know whats wrong... Ive had gone threw so many drivers and uninstalled them I think the uninstalling didnt get ride of all the old dll files and my dads going to formate it sooner or later... but if you have an other suggestions tell me... I think the old Asus drivers are what is causing all the conflicts... but I dont know what they names so I can get to rid of those dll files...
