I think it's excellent (of course). But, I don't have a homepage to post it (or pictures). If someone would like to do this for me, post an address, and i'll send it. DarthFallen_NYC Posted June 30, 2002 Share Posted June 30, 2002 I first wanted to diss this saber because of what you wrote about my saber after its release, but I changed my mind since it looks good . The skin is good and I like how you did the reflection. However, the model seems like it could need some more detail. Quigons saber has more dimensions in the top of the hilt. Also, it would be nice if you could extrude the metal plate in the middle (just a bit) because the the black plastic and the silver metal plate seem to be one piece on the same ground in your model. I just played with it, and there is only one thing left to do (aside from Darth_Fallen's comments) is to replace Kyles hilt in the weapons selection and saber style hud with Qui - Gon's (like in the anakin saber hilt.pk3). I fully expect to get it worse than I give it. (though I try not to hurt feelings, I don't believe in sugarcoating) Also, you're entirely correct on both counts. If you look at the picture of the bare model you can see it quite plainly. I didn't extrude the metal around the button for one simple reason, there's not any angle that you would be able to see the difference from. Judgement call. However, I am entirely flexible, so if someone wants an EXACT replica, i'll get to work, I only ask that you try the current one first. The detail of the emitter.. thingy is not perfect mostly due to my lack of detailed pictures. Again I can update it if necessary. Also, for the grip, I'm not POSITIVE if they're supposed to cut straight through the middle, but that's the way it is in the pics i've seen (personally it doesn't make any sense, since it needs to tubular to accomodate parts.. right?), but I just make em how they are. And Third, i don't have .tga compatibility in my imaging software, so I'll probably have to ask Garik Loran to make hud images for me again. He's VERY busy though. Thanks for the replies!
