Veregon
The mod I am a team member of 'Style Over Substance ' has released it's first 2 AVI's of some in-game action. We have a few more demo's recorded but still need to make them into AVI's. Since we haven't really let anyone know about our mod yet, here's the copy ripped from the About page: Style Over Substance is a saber dueling mod for Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast which focuses on the art behind saber dueling as opposed to two guys running around swinging like madmen. Jedi will be able to cartwheel, arial, and butterfly their way around attacks, fall very large distances without taking damage by cushioning their fall and use their amazing instinct and reflexes to make it seem as if the enemy is coming at them in slow motion. Many other enhancements have been made to give the game a more cinematic feel, allowing you to savor your victories as the slain enemy falls to the ground with his light saber slowly bouncing next to him. All this and more comes your way in Style Over Substance!
Xenon812
Hmmmm would have liked to see these, but they do not exist. Click on ANY link to the AVIs on the page, and get error message like "cannot find file specified"
Veregon
I haven't heard of anyone else having this problem and I know people have viewed the avi's, if you continue to let me know and I'll provide an alternate link for you.
Bluezman
I just downloaded them and took a look. Looks really nice, the 360° DFA looks awesome. Is it just turning in mid-air like in 1.02 or is the turn done automatically? The slomo dodge also looks cool. Do I understand the concept correctly that you want this mod make things look cool at the expense of game balance? Cause I can hear people already complaining about how it unbalances stuff. Talk about jumping in large groups of peolpe with the 360° DFA... So it's basically just to fool around?
Homeboy
I've viewed the .avi's. And come on, isn't that 360 spin way too urealistic? There's simply no way one can start spinning in mid-air. Otherwise I'm looking forward to some good duels.
Richtus
These videos will not load for me. When I click on them, Windows Media Player starts up, and it just says connecting for like 10 minutes straight.
JAtM Trev
You need divx to view the files. Go here: http://download.com.com/3000-2194-10112189.html?tag=lst-0-1 Enjoy How will force foresight affect gameplay for the person attacking? Will it slow his game down too, or what? Pedantic
It would be nice if you could include some more practical combos, like some seen in the movies. At least, I think it would be nice.

I had the same problem at work so I tried downloading the avi file to my harddrive. wasn't easy because when I clicked on "save target as..." it gave me a htm-file to download. Tried it with the Opera browser, which offers you a choice whether to view the document or download it. If you don't have DivX it should just tell you that the file format is not appropriate. Richtus
Actually, I am not behind a firewall. But my computer is setup for a LAN if that has any effect. I got to LAN parties every couple of weeks and all I gotta do is plug in and I'm good to go. Don't suppose being setup for LANs would have any effect? Bluezman
Hmmm... dunno really. Have you tried "save target as..."? Your browser obviously has problems playing the videos. If you had the avi-file on your harddisk and then opened it with windows media player it would probably be easier. Other than that I dunno... Webmaster Wack
i really have doubts that this will be as great as we (espesially me) hope for...it's extremly hard to make this work the way it's supposed to work..there will still be peoples with no skillz what so ever, that will run around and pressing Attack as fast as they can..but still...i have hope.. if this works out to be great, then this is the thing i'v waited for to come.. anyone know when release?
