Irishman26 Posted July 2, 2002 Posted July 2, 2002 i noticed that specific lightsaber colors decide the duel, if u use blue, u will lose, if green, u will win(exception qui-gon), red u will lose in the last movie. think about it, obi was knocked in2 pit cause he used blue, but cut maul in half with green, obi lost 2 dooku cause he had blue, anakin lost a limb cause blue, yoda "beat" dooku with green sabers. think about it. OT: obi lost 2 vader blue red duel, luke lost 2 vader , blue red again, luke beats vader, green red duel.

And where does Purple fit into the mix? and you cannot say that Red only loses in the last movie.....because Dooku lost in ep 2......sorry, but this theory just doesn't work for me.

I'm thinking at some point in Ep III, Anakin will confront Obi-Wan and get seriously messed up, thus requiring him to become more mechanical in the process of becoming Darth Vader. Obi-Wan's lightsaber color of choice is blue, so therefore, Obi-Wan is going to win with a blue lightsaber.
shidobu Posted July 3, 2002 Posted July 3, 2002 except that the prequel jedi seem to trade lightsabers ALOT! e.g. in ep II, anakin useld like 5 different sabers, and Obi-Wan used 2 or 3, so there really isn't any way to predict Obi's saber color.

Rogue Nine Posted July 4, 2002 Posted July 4, 2002 When Anakin and Obi-Wan flip-flop sabers in Ep II, they only have to because they've been stripped of their regular sabers by Count Dooku and never retrieve them. They're given sabers by the Jedi rescuing them.
