Nar Shaddaa single player level

It's the beginnings of a Nar Shaddaa level, obviously. This part is a pedestrian street running along side a spaceport, cut into the side of a large, vertical building (like the ones you see in JK's Nar cutscene.) The architecture, ambience and lighting is modeled after the version seen in Dark Empire and Dark Forces, not JK and JO. Keep that in mind if you're planning on saying "doesn't look like nar.." Oh, and fourwood, I love you.

 

It's not finished, of course.

Interesting... how much of the buildings can you actually go into? Perhaps rescale it whereas you can explore the insides more and have windows facing out. Unless you're aiming for the "close player out" dark mysterious type of Nar Map, then good for you :thumbsup:

These buildings really aren't the focus of the level, so probably won't be able to explore much beyond the street level, at least in this part of the level. If they seem small, it's because they're mostly a facade; most of the buildings are embedded in the wall. As I said, this is a small pedestrian street, cut like the Death Star trench into a larger building.

 

Opposite of the wall and building facades will be a large spaceport, overhanging a chasm. A similar building with another trench will be on the other side.

lol okay I see what you mean in that drawing, it looks very promising... this is completely your design isn't it? I havn't played Jk2 SP yet *gasp* so I'm not sure how to look at it by...

 

Also are you planning to actually put "pedestrians" in? how about some moving vehicles... Which brings into mind: is this MP or SP? Seems to be MP, but I could be wrong.

Keep in mind that the street level detail is nowhere near finished... nor is any other part of the level, except for the facade (maybe). :) Thanks for the praise, everyone.

you got the future city looking architecture really well

 

the city im building looks like bloody downtown sydney

The Sabacc and Dejarik tables are Emon's, and a few (or at least part of a few) of the textures are Zuljin's or Mada's. Thanks to all three.

I'll add more tubes and junk to the walls, screw with the lighting, etc..

 

..I think these are some of my favorite shots, so far. I *know* it's my favorite area in the level.
