Kengo Posted July 5, 2002 Posted July 5, 2002 Probabaly an easy one for someone, but I can't work it out.... Any ideas how to attach a key or other item to an NPC so that when they are killed the key/item is left there?
keto Posted July 5, 2002 Posted July 5, 2002 i woudl definately like to know this aswell. good luck, -keto
Emon Posted July 11, 2002 Posted July 11, 2002 It probably is. Besides, you're going to need to know some ICARUS scripting to make a half decent level.
Kengo Posted July 11, 2002 Author Posted July 11, 2002 I'm willing to make a far less than half decent map if it means I can avoid scripting, but don't quote me on that
RichDiesal Posted July 11, 2002 Posted July 11, 2002 It probably is. Actually, no. The only NPCs you would normally leave keys on would be an NPC_Imperial. All you need to do is add the key "message" and the name of whatever key you want for the value. You might be able to do this with other NPCs, but I haven't tried myself.
Quall Posted July 11, 2002 Posted July 11, 2002 Is it possible to set keys to just the door, and not to a control panel? Or a control panel to unlock, and not having a control panel to open the door? Like set it to player_use or something?
Kengo Posted July 12, 2002 Author Posted July 12, 2002 Thanks a lot man , i'm relieved to hear its fairly simple to do!
