Ok, what's up with the Jedi Starfighter and A-Wing

Recommended Posts

Are you looking specifically for the negatives of the units? For the Star Fighter the biggest complaint would probably be the delay in firing. For the A-wing, the biggest complaint would probably be the lack of hps (though they are also weaker damage dealers).

Both units have their advantages though. The Star Fighter makes a excellent spy unit once you've enabled it's stealth (even better if you have the "sight beyond sight" power as well). Though the Star Fighter shoots slowly, it does fairly decent damage, which makes it especially good at downing air cruisers.

The A-wing makes up for its lacking with additional speed and range. This allows it to hit and run better than other air units, especially useful if you micromanage them to their utmost potential. But if you plan on just sending them in to trade blows, you're better off with fighters.

Personally, i find that the Jedi Starfighter is great as an air cruiser escort. All your opponent see's is a few air cruisers floating around, goes to attack them then gets wiped out by your starfighter's. Work's especially well against geonosian warrior attacks.

i personally dont use many air units the jedi starfighter is good if you combine it with your troops say 100 trops 50 jedi starfighters would be a good army maybe a couple of mechs.the point of this post is that some people rely on air units all the time me myself i use plenty of troops as an army wouldnt be a aermy without troops.

conclusion_dont rely on air units the jedi starfighter is grt for patrols or escroting and maybe the odd air combat.
