aazell
Resident Evil was just released here in the UK. I went to see it last night for free. Bonus! I Just wondered if anyone else couldn't make up their minds about whether it was good or bad? I came to this conclusion. If you liked the games and played them a fair bit then you'd probably like the movie. I read a shed load of reviews of it on RottonTomatos.com and they were all pretty brutal about it however none of those reviewers said that they had played the game and generally slated it as being a rip off of George Romero's movies with a bit of 2001: a space oddessy thrown in for good measure. But that's what the Game was!!!!!!!! I was quite enjoying myself by the end of it and when I sat back and looked at the whole thing it seemed that they had done a pretty good job at staying true to the original feel of the game. What did you think?
Divine Spirit
I know i shouldnt judge a film by just a clip of it but I saw a clip last night on V Graham Norton and it looked pretty awful! - - About 10 puppet dogs covered in ketchup were chasing the woman played by Milla Jovovich so she got out a pistol and managed to shoot them all depite the fact they were running really fast and they were only a few metres away from her! And after that someone lifted up another ketchup covered dog puppet around a corner (obviously just pushed up by a member of crew) which took her by surprise! So as this new ketchup doggy charged at her she did a Wall Walk and spun around and kicked the dog as if she was on the Matrix! - - If they took the same clip out of resident evil and put it in Scary Movie 3 or something, im sure it would have been one of the best jokes in the whole film! :D But as i said...i cant judge the whole film by this clip. Darklighter
I haven't seen the movie. To be honest I don't really like the linearity of the games' gameplay, so I never really enjoyed them that much. I did however enjoy the plot, so it was inevitable they would eventually make a film. I just don't think there was a lot to make in the film of the game. It's just zombies and not much else. Plus I hate Milla Jovovich. She is so arrogant and up herself its disgusting. I say 'no thank you' to Resi Evil movies. They should howveer definitely make a Devil May Cry movie! Any one who has played the PS2 game will know what I'm talking about! I await it with great anticipation...
atinymonkey
It was ok. Not good, but ok. Best horror film this year was Dog Soldiers. I'd just wait for the video to come out. When I saw the film, I felt as though I was watching an in game sequence. Which isn't bad, as that is what they were aiming for. The second film (nemisis) will be good. Hopefully. Darth Groovy
I think there should be a nation wide law that prohibits video games to be made into movies. I didn't see Resident Evil, but after watching drek like oh...... Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, I would avoid any movie based on a video game. Other fine examples include: Super Mario Brothers Mortal Combat(insert sequal) Street Fighter Final Fantasy "Who knows maybe we will all be toghether again in Spaceballs 2: The Search For More Money." _Yogurt

Darklighter
I liked FF, but it just didn't live up to the game's standards... Hey guys, what about the upcoming Max Payne movie? Now that will be a game-to-film adaption I'll be willing to see. And Devil May Cry! They have to make a film of Devil May Cry!!
