FunClown
I think the new system being discussed on the official boards sounds better. BTW outcasting has been officially ditched.

Koffin
I liked the outcasting idea. Gave folks some consequences to think about for their actions. Now all risk has been eliminated unless you allow it to happen within the game mechanics.
FunClown
I liked the outcasting system too. However, the devs said that this just wasn't the game for it. Remember, that this was there revolutionary, so I don't think they just decided against it. They would have agonized over it I'm sure. However, the main reason they got rid of outcasting was because they wanted to focus the game more on the GCW (Galactic Civil Conflict), which is fair enough. If there was no GCW there would still be outcasting.
YourGod
however much it may do so...it still makes the whole creating/not having enemies so much duller & w/o consequences & whatnot... it may concentrate more on the GCW but like it was said in (i believe it was) Wraith 8's thread on the same topic, this makes it so that an imperial alligned town & a rebel alligned town could be sittin right next to eachother without fear of battle/conflict if the rulers of the towns create non-militaristic laws...now not only would that be stupid & pointless, but what fun would it be?
