what kind of program can open a .bsp file?

whenever i try to view a .bsp file it says that the application im using will make it look wrong. so i wanted to know what kind of program i can use so that im able to view a .bsp file. if anyone knows what im talking about please respond.

Well, Jedi Outcast can open and "view" *.bsp files.

 

If you're actually planning to edit levels you'll need the original (uncompiled) *.map files that can be viewed in (JK/Gtk)Radiant.

theres .bsp decompilers out there but they suck, also its not good to decompile someone's map
